Because I Love Him
Over a meal of ramen, Sakura discovers just how much Hinata loves Naruto.
I don't own Naruto.
It's been a tiring day for the apprentices of the Godaime today.
They have been working at the hospital for eighteen hours straight without sleep nor break yet. Many has been sent injured there because of the war between Sound and Konoha that's almost been two years already, but then people of the village never lose hope because they believe in the Will of Fire of their shinobis.
So, we can spot Sakura and Hinata at the Ichiraku's eating ramen during their break time, which is only for a very short time due to hospital duties. Neither said a word as they enjoyed the comfortable silence that they shared.
As Sakura finished her first bowl, she turned to Hinata with a playful grin, "So Hinata, you and Naruto are really an item now. How's your relationship?" she casually asked as she leaned closer for an answer.
Hinata put her chopsticks down as she turned at Sakura with a confused look. She's been out of her shell from the shy and meek Hinata to a confident one as Sakura when she and Naruto started dating. "It's fine, I really enjoy his company and he's really sweet." she answered with a proud smile, without even stuttering.
Sakura laughed, "Him, sweet? He's so dense before that I can't even imagine it." she joked.
The Hyuuga heard Sakura's playful tone and giggled, "Yeah, so they say."
"I hope you love him as much as he does right now, he doesn't need more people betraying him." Sakura reminded in a serious tone.
Hinata took this as an offense and looked at Sakura with a withering glare, "I'm not like that." she spat with anger clear in her voice.
Sakura though didn't look convince, she misses Naruto so she has to make sure Hinata deserves the knucklehead and isn't really one of the people who approves of their relationship. She won't admit that she's jealous though, "Prove it." she said with smugness clear in her voice.
The Hyuuga Heiress looked at her with supressed anger, she knew Sakura didn't want her and Naruto together but she didn't speak a word about it. "I would have said his dream is very foolish regarding his status but I didn't, because I love him. I didn't beat up any villager to death of how they treat him because I love him. I didn't kill people who tried to kill him because I love him. I didn't go out there to kill Sasuke because he has a promise to you as a team mate and I respected that because I love him. And this village isn't burning to ashes because they treated him like trash his whole life and he loves this place so I loved it too because I love him. And most importantly, I didn't kill you from your treatment of him because I love him." she has a very cruel grin as she said the last sentence.
Sakura paled as she heard how brutal Hinata sounded and didn't have the slightest hint of trouble saying it but then again, the Hyuuga never liked Sakura from the beginning. Hinata stood from her seat and her grinned turned wider if it is even possible as she looked at the paling and gaping Sakura in her seat, speechless.
She looked at the pink-haired girl with amused and sadistic eyes, "Isn't it great that you and other people are still breathing and alive because I love him?" she mocked her. Sakura could really see how Hinata has changed these past few years and couldn't believe what she just heard. Hinata's grin softened into a smile as her eyes did the same.
"My love for him really saved me."
