The One Nobody Saw

-Prologue-

Naruto was regarded as the village idiot. The moron. The one who would always mess up. It was his role and he had performed wonderfully. An actor's personal life was un-important, only his performance on stage was the most crucial. Naruto had played his role so flawlessly; nobody in the entire village would actually saw the dark shadow that lurked below the shining surface that the boy had put on. And the boy would keep it that way.

He remembered what happened when he was younger, the brutal session he had suffered at the hands of the villages; they had put all the bad luck, all the mishaps on him and punished him for it. The old man had tried to stop it ,of course, but it never worked. He had cried and begged and pleaded them to stop but all they did was to grin and laugh, as he screamed out in pain again and again. He spent countless nights above the head of the fourth Hokage, crying and weeping, about what had happened and the next day, he put on his mask of happiness and acted as if his life was perfect. He had hoped that someone might see beneath his mask, see the sorrow and help him, but no-one ever did. Nobody even came to notice him.

As he grew older, the beatings became more intense and frequent, and the apartment that the old man gave him was just used as a trap for him. The old man gave him an allowance every week but the Chunin sent to give him the money never appeared, and neither did the money. He lived his life without all those things, while kids played with their friends, he wallowed in his own sorrow. When other kids were carried home in the arms of their parents, he was begging for the beatings to stop. He had wished for the normal life of any other kid, and thought that if he became a ninja all this might come around. But that dream quickly went to dust. People came to him smiling and kind but behind, they hid knives. He had had his share of being deceived. He had craved interaction so much that he trusted anyone that smiled at him. Every time he trusted someone, He would regret it. Every time.

He who was the different one. He finally saw it. He finally realised it.

The 'Thing' in him had awoken, accompanied by the many cries he never let out.

The 'Thing' had brewed for many years since his sealing, always watching the things that happened to his host. He never let out a sound, not even the shallowest breath escaped the cage. Years he spent preparing for this day.

Now, the host was ready. But the question remains, will Konoha survive it?

-Authors Note-

This is only the start of a brand new fic, it contains dark and Angst so don't read if it upsets you or if you don't like it.

New chapters will be up soon, as soon as I can think of new plot bunnies, or if anyone could review and help me come up with a plot.

Thanks
