When the war had begun, it was almost as if there wasn't one at all. Battles were easily won, few lost their lives, and no innocents caught in the crossfire… at first. It was easy when the enemy didn't know how to fight back; their numbers were too vast, their defenses too robust. Too many victories lead to their demise - they clouded the council's view with cockiness and pride and no cautions were made…

No one was watching.

It all changed when one day, just one simple day and it all changed.

They had sent out a group of soldiers to take out the last base of their enemy. When described the mission had seemed easy because the base was small.

That was their mistake.

Because no one returned, not one, and that was the first sign something was wrong. The council had seen this as cause for further investigation, but it was only when the scouts had come back was that the war truly began. Both sides were now equal: the Daleks had found a way to destroy a TARDIS without a ripping a hole in the fabric of time and space. This was a worry to the ones who knew of the situation, it had not been their brightest idea by keeping it quiet.

Now most of them were dead-the council.

Those left had either gone mad, or were nearly there, knowing they were to die with their planet, so they came up with a plan. A dangerous idea… but in the eyes of the desperate, with the knowledge of their death, it was the only option.

In the end Gallifrey had returned to its rightful place in the universe, back in the timelock after all they had tried to do to.

A graceful figure stood at a window in a great tower, looking out across the land of rubble and up into the darkened sky, waiting. She was elegant in her robes, obviously of high ranks, her appearance screamed for respect, but formalities didn't mattered anymore, not now. It was all ending; the war would finally end, all the misery and the screaming with it, but at such a cost.

No one would win.

Everyone dies in the end; she knew that better than most people. But she had never imagined it like this, never in her long life would she had seen this as how her time would end.

A blaze caught her eye, as she watched a stunning blue box shot up from the rubble, into the ash and smoke-filled sky, shaking and spinning. It began to fade and then reappear, but in one big, bright flash… it was gone, and that was it. This was the end of the war; some people refused to even call it a war anymore… because now it was hell.

She, being one of those people, would call the following moments, as time ticked away… closing the gates of hell for good.

Continuing to stare up into the sky, a single tear slipped down her cheek and whispered softly.

"I'm sorry, my Doctor."

Hello Raindrops! So this is just a sneak peak for an upcoming story I plan on uploading at a later date, I hope you keep an eye out for it. I will put a notice on this as well once I start uploading!

Now this story will be slightly AU, consisting of characters and such, of course with such little knowledge of the Time War, things had to be done. But I have done all the research I can.

The Valiant is based of Rose Tyler, I have this little plan...

Hope to see you all soon!
