Tegan entered the control console room, wondering what all the shouted fuss was about. She found Adric leaning against the console, examining a display.

"OK, how about now?" he yelled, to the open main doors behind him.

"Still nothing!" Nyssa's and the Doctor's voices responded, in unison.

"What's going on?" Tegan asked, perplexed.

"Chameleon circuit." Adric mumbled. "I bet the Doctor I could figure out what was wrong with it." He turned his attention to another part of the console. "This doesn't make any sense, though. The circuit checks out fine, but it still won't work."

He looked once more at the display, and then examined another. Suddenly, he stopped and examined a dialogue box on the screen. "Wait a minute..." he murmured, then rapidly typed a few commands.

"How about now?" he shouted at the doors.

"Wait a minute..." Nyssa's voice responded. "Adric, I think its working! Its starting to change... Yes, its turning into a tree! I think you've got it!"

"Thought so."

The Doctor entered the console room, with a somewhat perplexed look on his face. "What did you do?" he asked, wondering what it was he'd been missing all these years.

"Software problem, Doctor, not hardware problem." Adric said, pointing to a dialogue box that identified it as the Device Manager. "You've added so much multimedia stuff to the console that all I had to do was disable something and free up an IRQ."
