He couldn't believe it. It had been two years since they had been together. It didn't mean that it didn't hurt to see her with someone else. He would always love her and nothing could change that. He watched as she flirted with him, while she touched him and he touched her innocently. He wanted nothing more than to go over there and beat the guy to a bloody pulp, but she was happy and Dylan couldn't ruin that for her.

"She misses you, you know? She asks about you every time she calls" Brandon said. Dylan's eye snapped to his friend. "She wants to make sure you are ok. She still loves you" he said before he headed off towards their original destination. Dylan stood standing, watching, and wondering. What if he should go talk to her or if he should just let her be happy without him? He decided to take the leap and just go talk to her. The worst that would happen is he finds out she doesn't need him anymore. It would hurt, but he could live knowing she was happy.

"Brenda!" he called out as he got closer. Brenda snapped her head in his direction and when they made eye contact her smile grew wider. Dylan realized that he had seemed to make her happier than the other guy did. He smiled at her and wrapped her in a large hug. She seemed to enjoy the embrace as they both had difficulties pulling apart.

"It's good to see you Dylan" Brenda said. She pulled away and got sight of her date out of the corner of her eye. She smiled and turned back to him.

"Andrew, this is an old friend of mine, Dylan. Dylan, this is my date Andrew" she introduced. Dylan and Andrew both smiled politely and shook hands, Dylan's other hand still on Brenda's back. Brenda leaned into Dylan's hand subconsciously.

"I just wanted to say hi" Dylan said noticing the tension. Brenda's smile faded slightly as she realized she wasn't going to get her deepest wish of him coming and sweeping her off of her feet. "I should get going and let you finish your date. Sorry to interrupt" Dylan said. Dylan leaned into her and gave her another hug and walked away. He stopped a few feet away and turned back, running and pulling Brenda into his arms. He threw caution to the wind as he kissed her fiercely. "I love you Brenda. Always have and always will" he said. Brenda smiled at him widely.

"I love you too Dylan, always have and always will" she responded. She pulled slightly out of Dylan's arms and picked up her purse and coat. "I'm sorry about this Andrew, but I love him" she said. Andrew nodded with a smile.

"Enjoy life Brenda" he said, motioning to the waiter to bring him the check. She smiled at him apologetically before setting a five in his hand and taking Dylan's. They walked off together, leaving Andrew smiling at them and Brandon watching from the store. As they passed by an older couple, the man leaned to the woman.

"That is true love" he whispered. Dylan and Brenda smiled and Dylan released their hands and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her body into his.

They both thanked whatever power that be that they were allowed their second chance. The last chance they would need.
