No matter how much you deny, it won't change the situation.
I am bounded to you.
I am connected to you.
I have your soul.
Chained
by iamuljjang
Bright rays of sunshine sneaked in through the blinds, shining the room in its dazziling brightness. It touched upon anything within its reach -- the floor, the nearby desk... all the way to a sleepy rosette girl. Sensing the light dancing on her closed eyelids, she sat up, yawned and stretched her arms above her head as far as she could reach, causing the chains to rattle noisily--
Wait.
Chains...?
She looked down at her right wrist and gasped. Clasped on it was a black and silver metal chain with a design of a silver cross on it.
"What the-?!" She grabbed the edge of the chain and tugged against it with all her strength but to no avail, it was still on her wrist. She cursed and tried pulling it off once more until an unfamiliar voice stopped her.
"It's no use. Stop trying to before you hurt yourself," stated the voice.
The girl's green eyes followed the link of chains of her chain. They were long, reaching to the side of her yellow bedsheets, off the bed, circling around the carpet, crawling back to the bed to the...
She gulped and turned crimson.
... handsome person sitting on the foot of her bed with a similar chain on his left wrist as well. He was half-facing her, eyeing her in half-amusement, half-annoyed. He was clad in a black tuxedo with a light-blue dress shirt and blue tie underneath. On the back of his right hand was the same a black cross.
"What is going ON here?!" She blurted. She felt her head spinning in circles. Waking up one morning to find out you're chained to some hot stranger isn't her cup of tea. Sort of.
The figure stood up and stuffed his hands in his pockets. He tilted his head downwards by a few degrees, having his bangs somewhat cover his eyes. He replied, "My name is Uchiha Sasuke. I'm a shinigami." At this, she froze.
Death God?! she screamed in her mind.
He snorted at her frantic reactions. "I'm not here to take your soul. You're not going to die... yet." He paused to notice that her eyes reflected curiosity. "The near death accident that happened a couple of days ago... it was not suppose to happen. A mistake in the death realm above... someone doesn't know the word tidyness."
At this he frowned, a look of agitation flashing on his features.
"In any case, because of this accident, I'm chained to you. I have your soul. I am to look out for your well-being until the true day of your death comes. Haruno Sakura... we are bounded for eternity."
Sakura's mind went blank. She echoed, "Bounded... for... eternity..."
Sasuke continued. "You are granted one wish. Anything you want, I'll make it happen."
She remained in place, frozen while slowly absorbing the information.
But, this is... all so much! So, so much for her! The accident, being in the hospital, discharged, chained, wishes... what?! Why can't everything just be normal for once?
Suddenly...
I feel dizzy...
She felt her eyes close in their own accordance and she slipped away into unconsciousness. Sasuke sighed, sat on her bed and dragged her onto his lap, her head cradled by his left hand, waiting for her to wake up. He looked at her closed eyes.
Until death do us part,
we shall be together, forever...
... Haruno Sakura.
