"Yusei? Have you seen my Anatomy textbook?" Atem yelled, rummaging through his desk.

Downstairs, Yusei looked up from restructuring his deck. "No, I haven't. Why?"

The Egyptian bit his lip nervously. "I need it!"

"It's Christmas, Atem! You're studying?"

"I need it." Atem insisted.

The Signer set down his cards to think. "You were studying when Jack and Crow came over to play video games. Check the basement?"

"Of course!" With that, Atem sprinted down the stairs and into the basement.

The former Pharaoh sorted through the mess of video games on the floor. He was about to check the couch when he eyed a big, black object behind it. He opened it out of curiosity.

"Atem? Did you find it?" Yusei called out down the stairs. "What's taking you so long?" He stepped into the basement.

His eyed widened at the sight he was met with. Atem was trying to figure out how to open the big bag behind the couch. Yusei rushed to his lover's side, making Atem finally aware of his presence. "Y-Yusei! My apologies, I-"

"-see you found my bass." Yusei finished. He opened the mesh case with ease and pulled out his instrument.

"Your bass?" The older man regarded the item with confusion, he'd never seen anything like this before.

Yusei nodded, took off his gloves, and pulled out his German bow from the case. He pulled up the chair behind him and placed himself in playing position.

He began to play.

Atem wasn't quite sure what it was that Yusei was playing but it sounded like a Christmas medley he'd heard the Domino High School Orchestra play once. Whatever it was, it was beautiful. Yusei played so effortlessly and so passionately, Atem got lost in his sound. The Signer ended with a crisp, pizzacato'd chord and looked up at his boyfriend with a grin.

"What can't you do? Tell me," Atem asked jokingly.

"Convince you to not study for one day, apparently."

Atem caught sight of his Anatomy textbook sitting innocently in Yusei's lap. He stared back at Yusei incredously. "You win. I won't study." He snatched the textbook and placed it on the couch. "Play more, please?" He asked sheepishly.

"Let's go upstairs first. Bring my chair?" Yusei responded, starting to carry his contrabass upstairs. "Merry Christmas, Atem," He added with a kiss.

"Merry Christmas, Yusei, you talented man you." Atem replied, sighing.

[I just love not letting Atem finish his sentences. I make him so troublesome. D: Merry Christmas! :D And no, I didn't make Yusei play contrabass just because I do too.

Not at all.]
