A Lifetime
Letter
Jacob,
My love I never meant to hurt you. You were always the one who was there for me. You were my rock while everyone else floated by, with their wrists tied to balloons.
Forever were you on my mind, forever were you in my sight and forever were you on my side. You stood behind me guarding over me silently, never complaining. You
forever allowed me to lean on you even though your shoulders already shook from the weight of your own priorities and your knees buckled together refusing to give
in. I fought against you tooth and nail trying to escape your reach and your shadow that sheltered me from the storm. I always knew I had a place next to you to
return toeven if I crossed the line of no return. They say you never know what you had until it's gone. I never realized how much I needed you to survive or how much
my body would look for you when you were no longer around. I never truly told you how I felt until it was too late. All I had left was pen and paper and no time, when I
thought I had an entire lifetime. I realize now that I need to be the one to stand tall when you fall, sheltering you from the storm and strong so that you may lean on
me when you need to.
I will forever love you
Your Bells
