I sighed in relief as I packed the last of my stuff into my trunk and snapped it shut.
Today was the day that I've been waiting for a long, long time.
It was finally time to sit the Hogwarts Express and return back home, my real home, Hogwarts.
Finally.
But first, to get out of here.
Walking in front of the floor length mirror, I sighed.
Last night's…session had gotten a little heavy. Bruises were all around my thighs and my torso. My stomach had the most, some fading and some very recent.
Thank god it was winter; I'd have an excuse to wear long pants or jeans.
Glancing at the clock on my bedside table, I decided it was time to go. Besides, it was better to get out of the house early, if he woke up and see me around, I might get more bruises to add to my already fantastic collection.
Grabbing a white tank, I hurriedly pulled it on, and pulled on some random jeans. Grabbing my winter wrap cardigan, I put it on, and pulled on a pair of light brown calf length boots.
Deciding to go natural, I just slapped on some nude lipstick, slipped on a huge black heart shaped ring on my forefinger, and pulled on a beanie.
I looked at the mirror and smiled, I didn't look like a teen that is being abused at all, I looked like a random teenager on the street.
I looked like my best friend Lily Evans, with red hair and green eyes. Many people had mistaken Lily and I to be twins, and when they stood from far sometimes mistake me for Lily.
I had red hair like her, but mine was a darker hue while hers was a flaming red. Her hair came down in waves, while mine was curly. I had light green eyes, while Lily's was a bright emerald green.
Smiling at my reflection one last time, I turned and softly called for my owl, Éclair.
What? I like éclairs, they were delicious.
Once Éclair was secured in her cage, I grabbed her cage and my trunk and tiptoed out of my room.
Quietly making my way out of the house, I stepped out and looked at the house one more time before making my way to King's Cross station.
Stepping onto Platform 9 and ¾, I looked around and smiled. Spotting a familiar redhead, I grinned and started towards her.
"Lily!"
"Evelyn! Oh my god! It feels like years since I last saw you!" Lily shrieked and flung her arms around me, hugging me tightly.
I winced and bit back a gasp, as she touched some of my bruises none too gently, but raised my arms to hug her back.
As she continued her speech while still hugging me, I saw James Potter and Sirius Black had looked over because of her shrieking, and while James was staring at his Lily, Sirius was staring at me with narrowed eyes.
Seems like he saw my reaction when Lily hugged me.
Aw shucks, I gotta hide my reactions better.
A/N: Hey guys! So, welcome to my new ff, What Does Kill You Makes You Stronger! I've been toying with this idea for sometime now so it's finally been churned out! The mentions of abuse are just a little preview to what's happening! Links for how Evelyn looks like are on my profile together with the outfit. Hope you guys enjoyed it, and leave a review!
