It's a night like no other when red and green unite. Gryffindors and Slytherins forget their differences to enjoy in Christmas cheer. Although this wasn't always the case, it all started on one Christmas day not so long ago when a greedy Slytherin by the name of Draco Malfoy learned of the miracles of Christmas. It took the courage of three Gryffindors, plus one Hufflepuff, to bring out the best of Draco and the tale went something like this….
The winter holidays had started and Hogwarts castle laid almost empty of students expect for Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy and some first year Hufflepuff boy. Even with out the other students the school still sang of the Christmas spirit. Pines trees where brought in by a jolly Hagrid and the smell of gingerbread could have been smelled anywhere in the castle. Red and green ornaments were hanged with care the allusion of snow was displayed in the Great Hall. The displayed brought cheer to left behind students all expect for poor young Malfoy when complained of his family's discussion to leave him behind in order to have an undisturbed business party at their house.
Draco spent his time walking around the halls, hating his life, hating Christmas.
"Excused sir," quivered the boy Hufflepuff.
"What?" grunted Malfoy.
"I'm collecting money for my younger sister. You see she needs an operation in order to cure her of her illness. My familys to poor to pay for it , would you care to donate?"
"What! Give my money to you are you nuts? What have you ever done for me? What have your sister done for me? I don't even know her, why should I give her my money. I need it more than she does." And Draco pushed the Hufflepuff down on to the ground and snatched up the box.
"Malfoy give that back!" said Harry who had just turned the corner.
"Fine" Draco stuck his hand into the box and shoved all its contains into his pocket. "Here you go, Potter," said Draco throwing the empty box at him and walked away.
"That creep," mumbled Ron.
"Are you ok?" Hermione said helping the boy up.
"I'm ok, but he took all the money I collected for my sister" said the Hufflepuff sadly.
"You know something; someone really needs him a lesson" said Harry.
"In someone, you mean us?" said Ron.
"For one I agree you guys, Draco is such a Scrooge" replied Hermione.
"A what?" asked Ron.
"Hermione, are you thinking what I'm think?" asked Harry.
"Well I don't know what you are thinking, but I'm thinking that Charles Dickson is coming for a visit," smiled Hermione.
"Whose coming?" shouted Ron.
"Oh can I help?" asked the Hufflepuff.
"Sure" replied Harry.
"We'll need all the help we can get." Said Hermione
"Now come on, we don't have a second to waste" said Harry.
"What? What's going on? What are we doing? Who Charles Duckson?" shouted Ron.
"I'll explained on the way Ron, now lets go." Hermione said grabbing Ron by the arm and dragging him after Harry and the boy.
