I walk among you a regular pony
But if you look closer you'll see I'm just a phony
Though I forgo the dragon way
Some urges are here to stay
Though I haven't been caught
Just the thought of eating gems leaves me quite distraught
What if someone were to see?
What would become of me?
If I had to explain what I truly am
And that the whole pony thing is just a sham
Would they still hold true to their definition of equality?
I study my true reflection in the mirror above my sink
Thanking Celestia that I'm no bigger than a lynx
My ruby scales shimmer in the overhead light
My claws and teeth enough to give someone a fright
Not that I'd ever use them against other living creatures
They're still among my most terrifying features
I unfold my wings a brief moment; stretching them out
Admiring the near translucent mesh layout
In between each finger
Trying my best not linger
Lest I receive an unexpected visitor
Like Derpy who loves to bust down my door
Assuming my pony form
I finish getting ready for the day
On schedule for today, a storm
And it's best not to delay
In any way
