This is the explanation to this story. First, I don't really know that much about Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon. I know some of the gameplay elements, but I don't know much of the story or characters in the game at all. Second, for some reason, I really like humans because it is easier to give personalities to than Pokémon, even though there is something called personification. And third, I can design worlds very well and creatively.

That is why I will be designing my own world of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon.

Sure, some of you will protest because you will likely not understand some of the world elements, but you know some people have done it before without complaint. This approach will make it easier for me to write this story. Likely it is just the current world in Mystery Dungeon that will be different. I promise you all that this will be great story. Because I feel like it, have a prologue.

10 thousand years ago…

A human was running from a collapsing hallway. The hallway was built considerably well, but it still couldn't handle either anti-bunker or nuclear missiles. One had struck the hallway that he was in, too which he abandoned the task he was currently doing and ran. The hallway collapsed slowly, which gave him enough time to run to the hallway gate and close it. The alarm rang as the gate closed. He was gasping for breath, and the air provided him what he needed. After he finished getting all the breath he needed, he began walking away to a chamber in the dark factory. As he walked to the next gate, he noticed a figure waiting for him. He already knew who it was.

"Guess another missile struck? Well then Teremy, it is time we escape also," said the man. Teremy Nicolas immediately followed Haisoj Nosredna, his boss.

The entire world hasn't been the same since Weka Volcano erupted. Millions died on that day and as the world froze for a while, the Unova government decided to attack other regions for resources, to which it turned into a war. Pokémon weren't spared from the fighting. But then, a mysterious entity released a nuclear missile into Unova. Unova immediately blamed Kanto, to which a nuclear war and winter followed. Humanity has crumbled ever since the volcano erupted two years ago. Nosredna Corporations immediately became a target since it was the main supplier of nuclear materials. Ever since, other regions struggled in the conflict, and the future of the world looked bleak.

But then, Nosredna Corporations realized that in a study they had done a few years back that Pokémon were unaffected by any radiation at all. If the future of humanity couldn't be saved, then Pokémon would be. Shortly after, the peaceful regions smuggled every single Pokémon to the abandoned paradise of Alola, the region where Wela Volcano erupted. These few regions watched humanity die off as they ensured the survivability of Pokémon. The main problem was that this was where Nosredna Corporations was located. After the corporation closed due to economic downturn, it became less of a target. Nosredna and Teremy remained in the corporation since there was too much radiation outside. Even though it looked bleak on the future for them, Nosredna had a plan.

Teremy followed Nosredna to a specific chamber that he had for a while. He hasn't been allowed to go in it for now for the past three months, but now it was time for him to see what Nosredna had been doing. Despite there being no point, Nosredna still looked like a businessman, only without a sports jacket. He always combed his black Russian mullet hair. He had the perfect face of an athlete accompted with brown eyes. Meanwhile, Teremy was stuck with brown hair that was shaggy. He had a purple and yellow eye for a genetic reason and he never learned how to smile at all. He walked with good posture since it was the only thing that he looked better in than his boss.

Eventually, Nosredna swiped a card, opening another gate. As the white gate opened, Teremy thought it was going to be a small paradise for the two of them to live the rest of their lives in. Instead, it revealed a room filled with two tanks filled a substance he didn't know and two chambers with enough room for a human to sit on. The room looked very clean and had multiple security cameras facing them for some reason. He was very confused about what this was supposed to be.

"What is this? Some sort of testing room?" he remarked off the room.

"This is a cryogenics room," Nosredna explained as he walked towards a tank filled with a substance. "Since it isn't fun adventuring right now, it is best that the both of us wait out until it is safe enough for us to head outside." Teremy still didn't understand what he was trying to explain.

"So, what you are saying is that- "

"We are going to be frozen for the next ten thousand years," Nosredna finished off. Teremy understood what he was trying to focus on. Despite Nosredna owning such a huge company, he always liked adventuring and fighting Pokémon with his iron stick, since he was rejected a Pokémon license. He also had experimented in cryogenics before, when he became the first person to do a procedure and bring someone back to life. Even though Nosredna knew what he was doing, Teremy still felt scared over the entire procedure. Before the successful test, he had ten other failures before that. But still, after he got the cryogenics procedure working, he had a 91% success rate. The 9% failure rate still made him feel anxious.

"What if it doesn't work then?" Teremy asked Nosredna, still anxious.

"Then we perish like the rest of humanity," Nosredna immediately answered. Teremy still didn't like the procedure, but he had to do it. They were probably the last of humanity, just stuck underground. They would likely be no females around, meaning humanity can't go on still, but he still wanted to preserve the memory of humanity within Pokémon.

"I am ready to go, Nosredna," he just blankly spoke.

"I have prepared cheesecake as our final meal together," Nosredna spoke as he pointed to the table with two cheesecake slices ready for them. The two of them sat down at the semi-formal table with the two slices ready to be consumed. Once Nosredna took the first bite, classical music began playing on the last radio station in existence.

"Any final conversations you would like to discuss, Teremy?" Nosredna asked.

"Not really," he answered back in a blank tone. Nosredna didn't feel the slightest concern since he wanted the procedure done as fast as possible. The two of them ate their slices in silence as the evening of humanity turned down.

After finishing the last of their cheesecake, Nosredna began prepping the machines as Teremy waited aside the chamber. Even though he was going to have a chance of surviving in the ice long enough to enjoy a peaceful world, he couldn't help but miss his only Pokémon: Bulbasaur. He only had him for a year, but he had bonded with him a lot. But before the nukes struck Alola, he had to dismiss him. Besides Nosredna, he only had him as a friend, his only escape to after a procedure that Teremy remembered that made him lose something that Nosredna forbids to talk about. The machinery began firing up as Teremy looked down.

"Alright, we better do this quickly before the electricity goes out. So, Teremy, sit on that chair inside the chamber," Nosredna instructed Teremy to do. Even though the machine gave him the anxiety, he still did as he was told. Teremy was then surprised about what Nosredna said next, "Any last words you would like to have with Bulbasaur?"

Teremy immediately looked up outside the chamber and saw a TV screen projected his Bulbasaur. He hadn't change at all; he looked perfectly healthy. Teremy shed a tear in front of the TV screen. Teremy knew he was not going to meet Bulbasaur again since he was going to be stuck in ice for ten thousand years.

"One day, I wished I would meet you descendants Bulbasaur," Teremy spoke one last time to him. Bulbasaur called out to him before the screen turned to static. He was gone.

"Radiation has destroyed the sensors outside. We need to move on," Nosredna spoke to him in a calm tone. Teremy continued shedding tears for his Bulbasaur, but he knew it was time to move on. Nosredna continued on prepping the machine for the next three minutes. Suddenly, alarms blared out from other parts of the laboratory. Nosredna then pressed buttons even faster until a single red button lit up. "Any last words before you are encased for the next ten-thousand years?" Nosredna asked him one last time. It was the moment. It was time for him to go ten-thousand years into the future.

"What are the odds of meeting a descendant ten-thousand years into the future?" Teremy asked, with no more anxiety in him. Nosredna looked at him with a disappointed look.

"Just a very low chance." Nosredna pressed the button, to which liquid nitrogen flowed from the bottom to the top. It became foggy in the chamber for a second but once the procedure, it showed Teremy Nicholas raising his right-hand that had a tin gauntlet on it. He was frozen now. Perfect, now time to do it to myself.

Nosredna pressed the autonomous button, to which he sat on the chair in his own chamber. He made sure he looked fancy before he was put it. He then pressed a button, to which a gate outside the room closed.

"Now no one can get the Eternity Stone," he whispered to himself. The liquid nitrogen began flowing in his chamber. It slowly rose up, reaching his knees. It was very painful at first, since you were dying from the lack of heat.

"There is always a warm feeling for every hypothermia victim," Nosredna recorded in an audiotape for the last time. The warm feeling came as the liquid rose up to his chest. His eyes then collapsed as he fell into a state of darkness. As soon as Nosredna's frozen position was revealed, the computer spoke out for the last time.

"Procedure completed. Farewell Nosredna..."

Ten minutes later, the last nuclear missile fell upon the corporation once more, knocking out the electricity, leaving their frozen bodies in darkness for the next ten-thousand years.

So, thank you all for taking the time to read the Prologue of this story. I will try to use the original material of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon as much as possible. Anyway, can anyone suggest a male protagonist for Chapter 1? Just leave your suggestion as a review or a message. Thanks.

10,000 years later, 2 weeks prior…

The laboratory that Nosredna had left behind was meant to be indestructible, but no one can compare it to ten thousand years of waiting. There was so much moss and vines covering everything. All of the electrical equipment except for the data storage, archives, and a complicated form of communication had wear down to the point of disrepair. The gates, of course, were already opened due to the electrical issues. Basically, the laboratory was no longer operational, even though nobody had came over the past ten thousand years.

But within this room, two chambers were set with two humans trapped inside the ice. Somehow, the ice decided not to melt at all, even though no air conditioning existed. Of course, no light made the chamber even difficult to light up unless you count the bio luminescent bacteria that lived in the laboratory now. Meanwhile, other parts of the laboratory had just collapsed overall. The storage facility, pantry, factories, and the Eternity room had all been destroyed by either collapse or from a missile ten-thousand years ago. Mainly, the train tunnels had been wear down, but still they could be operational. This was the work of time, something that can't be explained, neither can it be stopped. And then the ice in Teremy's chamber started cracking…

2k words. Finally, I cut down the story size by half.
