Laney sat in the back of science class, her head in a book. She was never the type to 'interact' with other people. But, nobody really noticed her. That made life way easier for her. Of course, her mother was always on her back about how she should 'make friends' and 'be social.' Finally, her mom convinced her to go to the birthday party Carrie Beff was hosting later that evening. And that's where our story begins.
I just want to point out that Grojband looks like they do in SallyChan's Grojband: All Grow Up, Okay? I'll put the picture over on the side :D

POOR LANEY TRANSITION

LANEY'S POV

I knocked on the wooden door, holding the blue card I got her. I decided to wear something casual-my long-sleeved black leather jacket with a white Panic! At The Disco t-shirt, jean shorts, black tights, brown combat boots, and my black beanie. A guy with red hair like mine opened the door. "Oh. Hey. Welcome to Casa De Carrie." (I can just imagine Carrie naming it something really cliche like that xD) He said with no emotion. I was starting to like this dude. He opened the door wider, revealing a huge living room that you could barely see, considering how many people were there. "Thanks." I replied, trying to squeeze in from the mass of people.

I walked over to the punch table, trying to keep everyone's attention away from me. "Um excuse me. Sorry. Yeah...can you just? Thanks." I muttered. I finally reached the table and picked up a plastic cup. A boy with blue hair, an orange beanie, black t-shirt, dark orange pants, and black converse walked over to me. I instantly knew who he was-Corey Riffen, the most popular guy in school. Aka Carrie's boyfriend. He smiled at me and re-filled his cup. "Rockin' party huh?" He asked, looking at me. "Uhm yeah I guess." I quickly muttered and filled my cup, walking away. If anybody saw me with him and told Carrie, or even worse, Carrie saw us together, I would be dead. I could feel his eyes on the back of my head, urging me to walk back over to him, but I ignored it. I have to admit, he was cute, and we seemed to have a lot in common, but he was Carrie's boyfriend and she already made my life a living hell now, she'd probably end up driving me to the point of suicide if she knew i liked him. I leaned my shoulder on the wall, staring at the punch in my cup. I guess you could say i wasn't exactly the party type.

"You never told me your name." I heard someone say. I jumped, startled from the sudden noise. I looked to my left, and saw Corey again. I just rolled my eyes and looked the other way. "Well i'm Corey. It's nice to meet you." He wasn't going to give up was he? "Laney." I said. "What was that?" He asked. I turned to him and crossed my arms. "I'm Laney. Now, if you're just gonna torment me or pour your punch on my head or something you might as well get it over with now." I closed my eyes, ready to feel his drink covering my clothes, possibly the whole bowl on my head, but it never came. "Why would I do that?" I heard him say. My eyes immediately shot open in surprise. "You're Carrie's boyfriend. Aren'y you supposed to hate me or something?" I quirked my eyebrow, arms still crossed. "Just because we're going out doesn't mean i'm gonna torment you." He replied. "Oh. Well I guess it's nice to meet you too then?" He suddenly took my wrist, pulling me through the crowd. Luckily the dimmed lights hid my light blush. "You've got to meet my buddies Kin and Kon! I just know you'll like them!" I smirked, trying not to stumble over his feet. "Awesome." I muttered under my breath, sarcasm dripping from my voice.
