So, here's the next part to the series. Hope you all enjoy.

Carlos remained invisible as he observed Marik Greyson using his Earth Magic to revive a dead apple tree, fix his mother's flower garden and make a dirt fort, all at the same time.

"I know someone's there." Little Marik said.

Carlos shook his head. Marik truly was a born bat, but he was also a tier 5 wizard, and THAT in itself was impossible for the five year old.

Carlos rematerialized.

"Why were you hiding from me, Uncle Carlos?" Marik asked.

"I was watching you work."

"Why do I lose track of time at moments? It seemed to happen with Areina a while back.

"You...I think I know now. I think I know why now..."

"You like? The apples are good." Marik said, noticing that Carlos was looking at the apple tree as he was talking.

Carlos walked over and picked one of the apples and took a bite. "Wow, these are good."

"What did you mean about you think you know?"

"Marik...I think you're two people. You were reborn. And your former life stayed with you and that was my fault."

"Maybe it was meant to be." Marik said, but his voice seemed different now.

"Am I talking to the older Marik?"

"Yes." Marik said with a grin.

A deep breath was taken. "Marik...does anyone else know?"

"Mom figured it out. It was something I do now that I did in my former life...and I think she told Areina, but only because she was having premonitions."

"Marik...I'm sorry. I messed up the spell." Carlos watched as a slow smile came to Marik.

"Like I said, I think it was meant to be." Marik stated.

"Do you remember coming back? As an adult?" Carlos asked.

"Yes, and I know that I'm marked because of the prophecy."

Dr. Fate didn't want him marked. "Can you read Zacharius?"

"I can do more than that. I remember my time in the Spirit Realm. He's hiding that he's evil."

"And Cassidee?"

"She dodged the bullet, she's purely good. Did Merlin do that?"

"Actually no; Cassidee was born with that light."

"Good." Marik stated.

"Now, Marik...are you a tier 5 wizard because you actually made it on your own? Or did Merlin help?" Carlos asked.

"Merlin taught me a few things in the Spirit Realm."

"I see."

"But everything else was ALL me." Marik said with pride.

"Good. Now about Areina...and your...grabbing..."

Marik just gave the most innocent look he had.

"Some things...I remember how I died. I watched my twin brother and best friend suffer without me. I just...I just needed to know...that I wasn't going to die again." Marik said honestly.

"You won't. I won't let it happen."

"I wish I could be big again. I know I need to live my life normally, but..."

"You need to grow normally. End of story."

"I know the spell..." Marik stated with a serious look.

"No. Marik...don't do it. You are meant for great things. Don't cheat yourself."

"What if I could change back and forth when needed?" Marik questioned.

"Now that you CAN do. That was what the Master Fate wanted me to see."

Marik's eyes showed a question forming.

"You can be an adult to help your family, and a child when you're not needed."

"But what was that about the Master Fate?"

"The Master Faye wanted me to own up to an unintended mistake and see that it has given the heroes of this time an edge."

"Now that you know...do you become Dr. Fate?"

"I think I do."

"I'll say this, you dad deserved his punishment." Marik stated, figuring that Carlos still had resentment toward Nabu.

Carlos nodded. "Now, I think it's time to be a kid again.

"Alright." Marik said with a smile.

With that, Carlos left; he was ready to talk to his master about the final test.

BBBBBBBBBBBB

The Next Day

Areina and Meygan were watching their 4 kids play on the beach. Rini was the closest to them, building a sand castle. The others played further away, tossing a ball around.

Meygan had a hand on her stomach, rubbing it and Areina looked at her with shock. Meygan chuckled without looking. "No I'm not."

"You two seem to be better after THAT incident." Areina said, remembering the day she saw Meygan all beat up.

"Yeah. I asked for a son, one that was a spit image of him. Kevin's been ever so gentle with me since I asked." She then blushed.

"We WILL get Mordred back for the red Kryptonite, don't worry." Areina said with a grin.

"I'm not worried. Areina...my demon abilities have improved so much. There's something going on with you though, and I think I can help."

"What do you mean?" Areina asked, realizing something was bothering her cousin.

"Precog." Meygan shifted in her lounge chair and stared deeply into Areina's eyes. She couldn't lie to her cousin.

"Um..."

Meygan was peering into her soul, her eyes flashing black. Areina had read of such an ability from the file on Raven.

Now her cousin had it.

"It's your dreams, the three you've had about the family." Meygan said as her eyes quickly returned to normal.

"I hate that you can do that." Areina told her.

"Believe me, I didn't want to."

"It's alright, I just HATE it."

"Areina...tell me what's going on."

"Back before the first war started, I had a dream. Remember when Aunt Serenity had to fix Orin's guest room?"

"Yeah. I remember."

"It came true during my first trip to Atlantis, after Kaldur was allowed back. Well not ALL of it, no one died, but Orin was wanted by Kaldur's father. Not only that, but his henchmen said something about killing the four of us."

"The ass." Meygan then realized that she spoke a little too loudly.

"Well, it wasn't long ago that I had two more dreams. One was of two shadows attacking my boys...and killing them. The other was the ENTIRE JLU being taken out."

"Two shadows, you said?" Meygan was fixated on that when the news of the JLU being taken out should have caught her attention more.

Areina saw this and knew she needed to tell more. "Aunt Serenity says that Marik passed his precog onto me because he KNEW he was going to die. That's also why my meta power didn't surface at the same age mom's did."

"That first year...Marik wasn't a normal baby by any means. Mom knew. I saw it in photos. His life was stolen from him. Like mine was. I don't think it was intentional on his part."

"You know more than you're telling." Areina said.

"He's back. Marik. And he hasn't tried to take it back."

"Meygan...of course he's back. He was reborn."

"No." Meygan's eyes held an intensity that Areina had never seen before. "He's TRULY back, sure he remembers everything, but...I don't even know how to begin."

"Then try."

"I don't know if it's the spell of not, but he's really back. He retained all of his knowledge of the Earth and he's a tier 5. At the age of five. He's really back."

"So the power SHOULD have returned to him...but why hasn't it?"

"I don't think he tried to, or he doesn't know yet. But you need training. And Marik's too young to ask to help you."

"So..."

"You up to going to Camelot? We'll have to get baby sitters and change. But we can go. Today. Right now."

"How about Uncle Dick, I'm sure he can handle four more kids." Areina said with a smile.

"Oh sure…with Brie vaulting over everything, Jason will be right behind her." Meygan teased. "Ok. Let's ask."

"He does need to work on his acrobatics." Areina said with a giggle. "And I'm NOT leaving him with Uncle Jason again..."

"He's cussing again huh?"

"It's becoming a regular habit…." Areina answered with a sigh.

"Well let's go talk to mom and dad." Meygan stated, and with that the two mothers called their kids to them and headed to Dick Grayson's home.
