Sally Jackson was currently on an anniversary picnic date with her boyfriend of 6 years, Mark Jenson, son of Demeter, on the Long Island Sound at Camp Half Blood.
"I can't believe we've been dating for 6 years." Sally said to her boyfriend.
"I know, but to be honest, I think it might be time for a change, since we're both 19 years old." Mark said
"What do you mean?" Sally asked, thinking that Mark was going to break up with her.
"Well, I want to be with someone different now. My wife actually. Sally Thalia Jackson, will you marry me?" Mark asked
Sally couldn't believe it.
"Yes. I will marry you." Sally said.
Mark smiled as he pulled out the ring he'd gotten from the Hephaestus cabin earlier that day out of his pocket and slid it onto his fiancé's right ring finger.
"Mark, I love it." Sally said, throwing her arms around him and they kissed.
After Mark dropped Sally off at her family's cabin at camp, he kissed her goodnight and then headed down to cabin 4.
When Sally entered the cabin, she found that while it was past curfew, her family's cabin was still filled with activity.
"Hey Sally, how was your date?" her mom Annabeth asked.
"It was good. In fact, Mark asked me something." Sally said
"So are you 2 getting married?" asked her father Percy, who was trying to get her little 11 year old brother James to go to sleep.
"How did you know?" Sally asked
Percy chuckled and said "Mark came by here a week ago while you were in the city and asked for my permission to marry you."
Sally smiled.
"Well?" Annabeth asked
"Yes, we're engaged." Sally confirmed for them.
"Congrats." Said her younger, 16 year old brother, Stephen said.
"You know, when I get married, Mark and I will get our own place and you won't have to live under the same roof as me anymore." Sally said.
"How soon can you get married?" Stephen asked, looking up from his demiPhone (demigod version of an iPhone, courtesy of Leo Valdez.)
"Well, it all just kind of happened, we haven't set a date yet." Sally said.
"C'mon, why don't we discuss when Sally and Mark are going to move in together tomorrow?" Percy said to his son, who nodded.
"Now, all of you, it's time for bed." Annabeth said.
All 3 kids groaned and Sally mumbled about how she didn't need a bedtime anymore.
"Until you move out, you live by our rules." Percy called out to her.
The next morning, Sally was up early, practicing with her trident, which had been a gift from her grandfather Poseidon as a reward for recovering his stolen trident, which had been her first quest when she was 12. (Like father, like daughter). The trident collapsed into a capable USB drive that transformed when uncapped.
Anyway, when she was done, she grabbed a shield and tossed it for their pet hellhound, Mrs. O'Leary. Sally took really good care of their family dog, for since she was technically she was a monster, Mrs. O'Leary was immortal and Sally wanted to inherit her after Percy and Annabeth go to Elysium.
"Hey, having fun?" Mark asked as he entered the arena.
"I love playing with her." Sally said as she tossed the shield for Mrs. O'Leary and said "Get the Greek!"
Mark smiled at his fiancé. She was perfect. Sally was kind, gentle, beautiful, smart, strong, powerful, loving, even monsters like her pet loved her.
"Why don't I go grab a shower and then we can talk about our wedding." Sally said and Mark nodded.
Now they were sitting in Sally's living room, talking.
Sally tucked some of her long, curly, jet black hair out of her light grey eyes and behind her ear as they spoke.
"When should we get married?" Sally asked
"Why don't we get married next spring? That is when most of my siblings get off school and can definitely be here." Mark said.
"Okay, so, how about May 5th?" Sally suggested.
"Perfect." Mark agreed.
"Okay, that's one decision down, about a million more to go." Sally said.
Stephen had to escape that cabin. Once his mom saw Sally and Mark in their living room planning wedding, Stephen knew he had to leave before he got roped into helping plan it.
"What's up?" asked his best friend and partner in pranking crime, Victor Stoll, son of Travis and Katie Stoll.
"Nothing much." Stephen said as he sat down next to him and his other partner in crime and girlfriend, Vanessa Fields, daughter of Aphrodite.
"What's wrong?" Vanessa asked
"Mark and Sally got engaged and I had to get out of that house before they made me help plan it." Stephen said.
"Agreed." Victor said.
"You 2 do realize that if your sister marries his brother, you'll be cousins right?" Vanessa asked, since Stephen may be a quarter Athena, Vanessa was the brains of their pranking operation.
"Awesome." Stephen and Victor said, high-fiving each other.
Vanessa rolled her eyes as she pecked Stephen's cheek and sat herself down on his lap.
"Get a room." Victor said.
"Get a girl." Stephen shot back, causing Vanessa to stifle her laughter.
"Well maybe if your girlfriend would fix me up with one of her sisters." Victor said.
"No way. Why don't you try one of the Iris girls?" Vanessa said.
Victor shrugged and said "Aphrodite girls are hotter."
Vanessa slapped him and Stephen said "And that my good friend, is why you don't have a girlfriend."
They all burst out laughing at that.
