A/N This is my first fanfic. As I'm sure many Literati fans do, I hated the ending of Keg! Max! I know there are many fics that give an alternate ending, and this is just another. It's short and probably bad, but I'm just giving it a shot. Takes place right after the fight ends and Jess looks at Rory. Please review!

Disclaimer: I own nothing other than the complete Gilmore Girls set on DVD.

"Jess."

They shared a look before he turned around and walked away. Rory was torn between running after him and staying with a drunk Lane. Rory realized she wouldn't be able to catch up with him if she stayed with Lane, but Rory also knew she wanted to be a good friend to Lane. Thinking quickly, Rory grabbed the hair tie from her wrist and tied Lane's hair up. She walked quickly in the direction Jess had left. She finally saw him, a few yards in front of her.

"Jess," Rory called out, but Jess kept walking.

"Jess, wait!" But still, he kept on walking.

"Jess, I know it wasn't your fault!" She was getting angrier, not understanding why he wouldn't turn around. She didn't know what else he wanted.

"Jess, I'm not mad!" He didn't even turn back, and kept walking She knew he was hurt, both physically and emotionally, and she could understand if he thought she was mad at him. But the truth was, she didn't blame him for the fight with Dean at all. In the bedroom, she had thought he was mad because she wouldn't go further. But she realized he had been in a bad mood all day. She knew he wasn't one for sharing his feelings, but she knew something was wrong. She thought back to all the times they had shared together.

"I just wanted to put some notes in the margins for you."

"It looks like Bjork. That's what we were going for!"

"Basket, basket maker, guy who didn't bring enough money"

"See, it's the messing around with Dean that lets me be nice to you."

"You really want me to go? I really want to avoid a fight with Dean."

"You're studying, I'm prying into your personal life."

"I could turn right, and we could drive in circles for a little. Turn right. As you wish."

"Why did you come here? Because you didn't say goodbye."

"I moved back...Just wanted to."

"I like the new look, it's very Blue Crush."

"I cannot control where my glance lands. And the few moments I can control it, it goes to Dean, not you. So you can't control when you look at me, but you have to force yourself to look at him? Sorry man, that's just cold."

"He was right. About all of it."

"Hi, hi, hi, hi, hi, hi. Bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye, bye."

"I'm glad you didn't smoke that."

"Hi. Hi. Later."

"Next time I go to your grandma's, I'll try not to have one. Next time? Next time."

"You looked it up."

She stopped walking. He continued.

"Jess, I love you!" He stopped. He didn't turn around, but he stopped walking. Finally, after a few minutes, he turned to look at her. They looked at each other for a minute or two. He motioned with his arm for her to join up with him. She tentatively began walking towards him, and he put his arm around her.

"Huh."

A/N Told you it was bad. Sorry about the flashbacks, I know there are too many and I didn't put all of the good ones. I just have had this idea for a long time. I didn't know how to end it, hope it's not too bad. :) Please review!
