Victoire's only thoughts were on him. The love of her life, although she was quite young to say so, Teddy Lupin. He was finally available since the end of last year, and it was nearing the end of this one. He had finally realized that it was time to dump that prissy, stuck up, no good Ravenclaw he had been dating for so long. Victoire had never really approved of the relationship, because of her obnoxious way of behaving to the rest of the Weasleys and lone Potter (for now). Of course she was as sweet as syrup around Teddy.
Victoire was in love with Teddy. She had only realized her feelings after he started to date that snotty Lilac Edgecomb. It was the jealousy that had done it. At first she thought she was just worried about Teddy, when he started dating her in his 5th year (she was in her 4th) but she realized over time that she was thinking about him almost obsessively. Smelling him too for that matter…
In a recent Potions lesson including Amortentia she had smelled the ocean (she did live near the beach), the smell of the lavender her mum scented the laundry with and most curiously, the smell of ink…
She didn't think much of it at first, after all it was only ink, until after hanging out with Teddy by the lake one afternoon. She had noticed the unmistakable smell of ink and his ink stained hands to prove it. Teddy was always jotting down an interesting idea or two for a story. He loved to write, mostly the stuff you'd think of as journalism.
It took awhile for it to sink in. I mean, how could she possibly like Teddy? Her best friend Teddy? The Teddy who put toads in her underwear drawer once? It was just a crush she convinced herself. Nothing but a slight infatuation.
But time went along and she was proved wrong. Whenever Teddy stormed in to the Gryffindor common room, furious from a disagreement with Edgecomb, he'd vent his feelings out to her, his best friend, the on who understood. Te arguments happened often, and she always dropped casually "So you dumped her right?"
But to her frustration it never happened. One particular night after he had given her the usual surprised no, she gave a grumpy sigh. He looked at her curiously, and it was at that moment, Victoire Weasley had realized she was in love with Teddy Lupin.
