Were they both insane? Or just blinded by the sight of each other?

From the first time, he had seen her and her him, neither of them had wanted to admit the true feeling that had hidden themselves within their hearts.

Couldn't they see how they had torn each other apart?

Three years they went on, each living their lives.

And each fully aware how they were living a lie.

Until one day, almost as if fate,

Once again, they came face to face.

But this time with a different mindset.

They talked forever, neither afraid of the other,

This went on for a few days, as he allowed her to seal her fate.

He played jealousy as if it was a game,

Not wanting to admit the truth of his shame.

Each day she would see them, walking hand in hand,

She would recoil and run from this man.

One day she approached him and asked "Do you love her?"

Then with a smile, on purpose he lied, saying, "Yes,"

With that hope was gone, and that night she crumbled, feeling very alone.

She called him, he answered "Hello?"

"I love you," and then, she hung up the phone.

Without thinking, he slammed down the phone, and raced to her house just a moment to late. He had sealed her fate.

She laid in a pool of blood, her heart had no rate. Beside he a note, confessing her love for him.

Taking up the knife he exclaimed, "I loved you too."

That night they both died by a single knife, all because,

On Purpose, he lied.
