«Are they ready?»

«I didn't think you were so greedy, Akira-kun.» Crouched close to her, Takumi smiled, using a stick for pushing away the dead and scorched leaves they picked that evening behind the male dorm, while others students had dinner and Takumi wished for roast potatoes. «They're almost ready.»

«I'm cold» murmured Akira, nestling herself in her uniform jacket. «I need something warm.» Her friend moved his arm around her back to cuddle her. «S-Stupid! I-I didn't mean in this way!»

«Yes, of course» Takumi kidded, still holding her. «Are you cold, now?»

Akira hid her embarrassed face against his shoulder, delighted of his fragrance instead of the dinner one. She liked it very much. «No, I'm fine.»

«Then, don't you want potatoes?»

«Yes, I want them!» she protested, stretching out her hands for grabbing one, forgetful of her embarrassment.

Then, Takumi let her off and she stopped, turning towards him. They didn't say anything, but he understood. He gave her a potato and laid waiting.

The girl picked it, but she didn't talk, blowing on her dinner for cooling it down.

«It should be great, if women said what they think» Takumi thought aloud. She raised her feline eyes on him, irritated, but kept silent. Takumi laughed and unbuttoned his coat, the same she didn't want to wear before to go down in the school playground. «However… I think that's why men do adore them» he muttered, moving again an arm around her back to cuddle her, careless that it looked like if he was holding close another boy.

Embarrassed, Akira gave him a potato, but she couldn't stare him nor she protested for the embrace. «However, men should understand when they must be quiet. So, eat and shut up» she ordered, while Takumi laughed again.
