On the chilly January night, the bright moon silhouettes two walking figures. Their shadows stretch and reach, grasping at the cracks in the sidewalk. "Dirk," says the shorter figure, "thanks for taking me out to eat tonight. I had a great time." They pause outside a door. "No problem Aspin, I always have fun when I'm with you." Dirk says softly. The world slows down and time stops for a few seconds. Then a figure moves. It inches closer until the shadows merge. At first Aspin jerks back, but Dirk pushes him against the door and the shadows become entwined once more. Some keys jingle and the door opens. Artificial light spills onto the sidewalk and the figures fall into the doorway, door closing behind them. Dirk grabs Aspin by the hand and pulls him into a room, gently tossing him onto the bed. Aspins face flushes a deep red. "Dirk wh-" Dirk climbs on the bed next to Aspin and looks at him. Their eyes meet and Dirk envelops Apsin into a kiss. Aspin wraps his shaking arms around Dirks neck and kisses back a little too hard. Dirk pulls away and rubs his nose. "Easy there tiger." He chuckles. "Sorry!" Aspin yelps. Dirk smiles and kisses him again, hugging his waist. He inches his hands down to aspins pants zipper and breaks the kiss. "Are you ready?" Dirk says gently, looking Aspin in the eyes. Aspin nods quickly and Dirk pulls him down so they are laying down facing each other. "I love you Aspin." Dirk whispers as he pulls the covers over them. "I love you too Dirk."
