Things of Strength
Strength should not be confused for recklessness or power,
And the only one who has it is not the hero of the hour.
Strength does not exist in a single way.
Likened to resolve, when someone says they'll stay.
A fire that will burn, to shield, not consume.
A torch to carry, and hard work to resume.
When a simple deed is done, and kind smile rewarded,
It is the sharing of something that has long been hoarded.
Overcoming something that has long held you back,
Or comforting someone when they're about to crack.
The idea of strength is found in those it best embodies,
Cannot be held to one place, person, or body.
And those you make to be less than they are.
Have already surpassed you in things held from afar.
And, after all, it would not do for us to underestimate the meek.
It's not as if though they're the ones who are weak.
