Disclaimer: I own nothing

Here's another one-shot of Caspian and Susan's life after One Night with the King. Enjoy!

Susan slowly opened her eyes and stretched. She turned over and smiled at Caspian's sleeping face. She rubbed her ever growing belly. It had been five months since they had married and what five months they were. She was going through her "binge" stage as Edmund affectionally called her eating habits. She rolled over and out of bed. She turned and looked at herself in the mirror. She frowned. "

"I look fat," she said out loud.

"No, just pregnant," a groggy Caspian said.

Susan rolled her eyes.

"Well, I'm too big at this stage."

Caspian scrunched his face.

"I don't think so."

"You're a man. What would you know?"

Caspian waved it off.

"Let's get up."

"I am up."

"Well, I need to get up then."

"See, I am to fat," Susan complained as she tried to tie the laces on her dress.

"Let me do it," Caspian said.

"And you're not fat."

Still at breakfast Susan ate next to nothing. Everyone noticed.

"Susan, you got to eat."

"I'm not hungry."

"WHAT! Not hungry! This is coming from the girl that made me tear the castle apart to get you jalapenos smothered in peanut butter!"

"I'm just not…"

"You have to eat. You're feeding more than one there."

Susan nibbled on toast, to keep them quite.

Now it was six months in. Susan felt worried. The baby hadn't kicked yet. Was it dead? That was silly. Wouldn't she have deflated by now? But still…why wasn't it kicking?

To top it off her craves were getting weirder than normal.

It was midnight. Caspian grumbled as he stalked off to the kitchen.

"This baby needs to go ahead and be born or I'm gonna…" he muttered.

What was the request this night? Two pickles fried in caramel sauce, put inside cooked beef, smothered in chocolate, with sliced fruit dipped in nacho sauce on top. When it was made, Caspian headed back to the room.

Susan was propped up in bed, smiling.

"Thank you so much dear."

"You're welcome…"Caspian mumbled.

He lay back in bed and tried to go back to sleep. It was impossible with the smell of meat in his face. He sat back up and stared at the food.

"You know that looks…good. Let me have some."

Soon they were both sharing this, odd snack.

Susan shifted her position on the chair. Why she still made appearances in these late night dinners she had no idea. She felt something. She gasped, her hand fluttering to her stomach. There it was again. Peter noticed the gasp.

"Oh, Aslan! Is it the baby Su?! Is it!"

"Peter, it's…" "

I'm not ready! I'm not capable to be an uncle yet! I have so much to learn still! I…"

"Peter, shut up!" Edmund shouted.

"It's kicking," Susan said smiling.

"Oh, Aslan," Peter fainted.

Caspian stood up and went over to his wife. She brought his hand to her stomach. His eyes widened as he felt that small movement. He smiled.

Edmund sighed as he fanned the past out Peter.

"Oh, Susan! I'm so happy," Lucy said.

Susan smiled back at Caspian.

It had been nine months now. Any day the baby would be born. They were all debating names now. Edmund suggested something simple but sophiscated like Andrew or Stephanie (Stephanie was the name of his first crush) Lucy said something like Steven or Rose. Peter…Peter got was more than elaborate. Rosemary Diane Lisle or peter the II was his idea of names.

"Not in a million years."

"Well, no Caspian the 11th!"

"Trust me there…oh!"

"What is the matter now," Peter asked.

"Peter, get the nursemaid. The baby is coming."

"Oh, Aslan," Peter passed out.

"Just what I need," Susan muttered.

Just then Gozelle came walking down.

"Gozelle, help!" Susan called out.

"Whatever is the matter," Gozelle asked, striding over.

"The baby is coming and I need help." "

I see…umm…." Gozelle picked her up and carried her to the closest room, which luckily had a bed.

He dragged in the unconscious Peter and ran off. Soon Caspian and the nursemaid came in, with Edmund and Lucy. Caspian stepped over Peter's body and held Susan's hand.

"Alright now. Push", the nurse commanded.

Susan pushed with all her strength.

"Again."

Caspian slightly flinched at Susan's grip. With one last push, Susan collapsed against the pillow, as a tiny wail went out.

"It's a girl," the nurse announced, wrapping the baby up.

"What's its name," Lucy asked.

Susan took the baby from the nurse. "Well…"

"Annaliese," Caspian said.

Susan looked up with a hint of surprise.

"Anna for short," Caspian said.

"Perfect," Susan smiled. Perfect.

Please review. The food is what my sister Kristine ate when she was pregnant. Hope you liked it!
