I Can Tell

I feel bad about making Yamcha look like a jerk in my stories.  So this one is for all you Yamcha fans.  This is about how Bulma and Yamcha broke up.  A nice, clean break-up.   No cheating.  The song is called I Can Tell by BBMAK.  Enjoy.

It's in the way you caress my face.

Like you always used to but differently.

We can smile to hide the shame.

Here in the pouring rain waiting for the sun.

I'm crying here all alone standing next to you.

You have done your best to see it through.

But oh baby, I can tell by the way that you love me

I can tell that the fire is burning out.

Oh, baby I can tell by the way you hold me

I can tell that the fire is burning out.

Moving down an open road asking our hearts for direction

Cos we're so close

I can see the faded signs leading to the same destinations

But you're not there

Yamcha and Bulma stood in the rain, just looking at each other.

"I think it's the best thing to do." Bulma said quietly.

"I agree."

"Were just not working out as boyfriend and girlfriend, Yamcha.  It's just not what it used to be."

"I know, Bulma I think were doing the right thing.  We have been drifting apart for a while now.  I guess neither of us wanted to say anything though.

They were drifting away though.  They didn't want to say anything though.  They had been together since they were teenagers.  Everyone thought they were the perfect couple, and were going to be together forever.  But for every comment they got, they both got closer and closer to breaking up.  They both knew their relationship was falling apart.  He was busy with work, and martial arts, she was busy with her inventions, and Capsule Corp., They never saw each other, and lately when one was free the other had more work to do.  They both also clung onto the relationship, thinking that maybe they were supposed to be together forever.  But they weren't.  And now they were ending it.

"Were both going down different paths, we aren't going in the same direction anymore." Bulma said.

"When did it all change?  When did this happen?" Yamcha asked.

"I don't know."

"Me neither."

"We can still be friends right." Bulma asked looking into his eyes.

"Of course.  We'll always be friends.  Forever."

"That's good."  Bulma said forcing a smile.

"I'm gonna miss you." Yamcha said looking down.

"I'll miss you too Yamcha.  Good-bye."  With that Bulma gave him a hug and kissed him on the cheek, and went inside leaving Yamcha in the rain, alone.

"I hope we did the right thing" he said to himself.  Yamcha turned and ran to his car, and left.

"I hope…" he whispered once more, before he couldn't see her house anymore.

We're dancing to the music that ended long ago

You've done everything that you can do

Oh I Oh I Oh I Oh I Oh I

My heart is in the wind drifting over you

I've done everything that I can do

But oh baby, I can tell by the way that you love me

I can tell that the fire is burning out.

Oh, baby I can tell by the way you hold me

I can tell that the fire is burning out.

I hope you liked it.  I thought it was short and sweet.  But if you don't like it that's okay.
