Everest

A Bones FanFic

Disclaimer: 'Bones' is the copy-righted work of its writers, producers and Fox. Seeing as I am none of those, I do not own 'Bones'. No copy-right infringement intended.

Summary: An alternate ending to Yanks in the UK. One-shot.

A/N: I'm feeling quite tired, because I'm sick and because of life in general (really need to get that taken care of…) but 'Bones' has made me happy yet again. I'm not going to disclose any events of the episode, in this fic, except for like one thing, so if you haven't seen it yet, you probably shouldn't read this. (Of course, if you read 'Bones' fanfiction, you probably watch 'Bones', and if you watch 'Bones' then you probably watched the season premier. But, still, humor me.) Of course, if you want to send me a message and rant with me about everything that SHOULD have been in the season premier, by all means do so.

A/N 2: I did something quite dumb with my last story. I posted all nine chapters of it in one night. I didn't listen to my buddy Kit-Pocket, and post it one chapter at a time, because I didn't really understand what she was telling me to do. I so should have listened to her. Not a lot of people have read that story, or at least haven't reviewed it, and it kind of bums me out. So, if you have time, please read and review my story called 'The Man with the Mantra'. It would make me very happy, and when I'm happy I tend to write more. And get more ideas!

You have not technically reached Dr. Temperance Brennan; you have reached the answering machine on her cell phone. However, if you leave your name, number and a message, she will call you back. Oh, that's me by the way. BEEP.

"Hey, Brennan, it's me," Angela said. "I need to talk to you… Hodgins and I broke up. Just please call me back, okay? Bye."

Angela hung up the phone, and wondered why her friend wasn't answering her phone. Then she looked around her office trying to find something to do to keep her mind off of the love that she lost.

In a hotel room, somewhere in London, a cell phone display showed that the phone contained two missed calls, and one new voice message. The owner of the cell phone was not aware of this because the phone was on silent.

In the same hotel room, in the middle of the large bed it contained, lay the owner of the cell phone, snuggled up to her partner, remembering and mentally reliving the events that had just taken place in that bed. She smiled to herself.

"Hey, Bones," said her partner, sleepily. "What're you smiling about?"

"Everest." She replied. "So, Booth, what do we do now?"

A/N 3: Wow, three author's notes… have I gone mad?! XD So, all together now, let's shed a tear for the end of Hodgela. The next episode airs on Wednesday on Fox. Watch; I command thee. Thanks for reading and please review!
