Short, sweet, and made in a moment of inspiration with no plans to build upon it. Written purely to get one last 2017 post out and to let those who care know that I have a new story up called 'A Chaotic and Tantric Life for a Spider' please check it out, leave a REVIEW, and vote on the pole on my profile. But first, enjoy this little look into Natsu's magic and how it effects him. Also REVIEW. Please. Most of the reason I bother posting is because I want to see the reviews.

Fire. It was an element of powerful emotion. It wasn't the calm of ice or the stubbornness of iron, it was passion, it was rage, destruction and defiance. It left its mark on the world where ever it took root. It was wild and nearly uncontrollable by its very nature. Dragon Fire was even worse.

Natsu didn't think the others understood just how difficult it was to control his rage sometimes, he utilized the most destructive element in its most powerful form and made it feed and be fed by his own emotions. A single insult could cause a flare of heat, a slight against him could send sparks and embers flying around him. What others would go into a rage over, what would make them lose sight of everything but the object of their hatred, would turn him not into a keen blade or a obscene hammer, but an active volcano ready to destroy all within its grasp.

Natsu was well known as the most destructive member of all of Fairy Tail outside of Gildarts, but no one ever questioned how he- someone who fought with close up and with his fists- always caused untold destruction. It was simply the nature of his magic, and the nature of rage to wreak havoc to all before its might.

Anyone else would have destroyed the world by now with their hate alone, but he stood strong, he harnessed his emotions the best he could and he turned the fearsome element into a power for good, for protection. It was his greatest pride. Not his overwhelming strength, not his legendary accomplishments, but his ability to take a power so inherently evil, and turn it into something that his father would have been proud of.

Like I said, short and written in but a moment. Hope you enjoyed, please leave a REVIEW and check out my other stories if you feel so inclined.

Hope you all had a good 2017, and here's to a better 2018. Cheers.
