Disclaimer: I do not own FMA, Thea is my only creation.

Hello babes. This is my first ever fanfic so this will be rough around the edges, but I sure do hope you enjoy it.

"WHAT. THE. HELL. IS. YOUR. PROBLEM?" Thea yelled between breaths after practically running from her apartment to the office just because of this asshole. "You maybe my superior, but I'm not your fucking errand boy!"

"Well of course not, you're a girl." The bastard, Roy Mustang, chuckled, "but I didn't think you were so eager to see me, Sight." She could practically hear his smirk as he leaned back into his chair.

"EXCITED?! I get a call telling me if I didn't get here in one minute you were transferring me to the North?! Quit jerking me around, Flame!" The ginger slammed her hands on the desk almost as her unfocused blue eyes glared in his direction. Honestly she couldn't take his jokes a good ninety nine percent; her displeasure was his entertainment yet she continued to feed the troll. Standing up straight, she rubbed her temples just groaning. "Why am I here? This was supposed to be her day off." A well deserved one too. "If this is you trying to get out of paper work again, I'm telling Hawkeye."

"Learn to have some patience, Sight. Have a seat actually, your assignment should be here shortly." She rose a brow at his words, but took a seat anyways. Crossing her arms and she tapped her foot obviously lacking patience. "Do you know of the Fullmetal Alchemist?"

"The short one?" I asked without hesitation.

"And how do you even know he's short?"

"I'm blind, not deaf." she answered receiving a chuckle, "but what does this kid have to do with anything?"

Before the colonel could even get his two cents in, the doors of the office opened once more with the following words, "So Colonel Bastard, what is it this time? Another goose chase?" Colonel Bastard, huh? Thea kind of liked that name a lot and from the pointed look that Roy was giving her only made the teen smirk just a bit. Yup, this was certainly a name that she wasn't going to let him live down.

"Fullmetal this is Sight...Sight, Fullmetal." Roy introduced the two just feeling a pending headache as he continued, "and for now on, you'll be working together."

"What?!" The two yelled.

"Sir, with all due respect I rather not babysit a midget with a height complex besides I fear you're forgetting I'm part of a bigger operation that needs me more." She spoke in matter of fact tone. Oh, like the fact that she was the best chance at catching a psycho murder, no big deal.

"Besides we don't need some girl slowing us down. All I need is my brother. We're fine on our own." Ed spoke causing the female's clouded eye to twitch.

It was one thing to be pissed at this situation, but it was another to look down on her just because she was a girl. "Excuse me? You must be mistaken... You'll be slowing me down with your short little legs, midget." She fired back facing the direction that his voice was coming from. She was so sick of men and boys in this damn military pointing out her apparent flaws that she had.

Before the arguing could get any further Roy's low tone broke through silencing the both of them. "You're working together and that's an order." Only receiving small yeses. "As far as your mission goes,Sight...it's being put on hold. You said it yourself...Scar is no longer in the city. In the meantime...get to know your partner."

This time a smirk was tugging at her lips. She knew the perfect way to get to know her new partner. "With pleasure, sir." Just lazily saluting as she began walking out the door. "Meet me in the arena in four minutes, midget. Unless you're scared." With a laugh the doors slammed behind her as she made her way down the halls just cracking her knuckles a bit. This was going to be fun.
