So cold, touch his heart and there's a chance you could freeze
Steel soul, keep your distance or be ready to bleed
He was good at the bait and hook
He was really good at push and shove
He believed in "whatever it took"
And whatever it took, it was never enough.

Well there was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile
Lived a crooked life behind a crooked smile
Goodness, like an arrow, lodges where it can
But it never pierces the heart of a crooked man.

Justify, when justice wouldn't pay the toll
Subtle lies, when the truth was better half than whole
Driven by an insatiable lust
For power that was just out of reach
Living on an illusion of trust
With a steady dose of control and greed.

Some life, nobody came to say goodbye
Slow ride, for the author of his own demise
No one had much good to say
Some were glad that he was finally gone
His legacy was cold and gray
Like the mocking words that were carved in stone...

"Is proving Cuddy wrong worth all this?" Cameron

Is it? Cuddy was his boss, his sparring partner, a target and his friend. She and Wilson were it they were the only people who he connected with on any level. She was a thorn in his side. She fought him every step of the way. She was a balance she threw him and took him down a notch. She refused to let him win without a fight.

It wasn't about Clinic, well it was at first but now it was proving that he could do it. It was proving Cuddy wrong.

"You learned anything?" Wilson

He had learned a lot. He was an addict. He was an asshole. All those colourful names ring true. He had learnt that there is one other person he would put himself pain through. What used to be two were now three. How did it happen? How did Cuddy get there?

She had always been his friend, even when she thought he blamed her. He never did, he could never blame someone for doing their job especially not Cuddy. She always did her job.

But now there was something extra!

"Of course I've changed!" House

He had changed a lot, he had been destroyed and now the walls were impenetrable for those who were already out. He thought Wilson and Stacy were it but now Cuddy had joined them.

Why?

Cuddy was the only one that stood up to him. She was the fun one the one who gave it her all and still manages to look fantastic doing it.

When had his feelings changed?

When did he begin to accept Cuddy?

When did he begin to love her?

A/N I was watching detox and heard the first quote and this little beauty came to me! I found this song when it was use for a video on youtube so to whoever made it thank-you! So yeah I hoped you liked it.
