Prologue: MISSING!

S. A. S. MISSING! By Kaden Raynor

Last night a distinguished member of our most elite fighting unit disappeared in a blinding whirlwind of leaves, earth and water. The ghost in training, son of the framed traitor, Alexi Stukov, held high honors in all of his studies and was one day away from his graduation. He was to be placed under the command of, my own father, Jim Raynor.

As with all ghosts young Sarin was taken from his home for training at the early age of 3. He was supposedly a prodigy at tactics, weapons combat, and wielding his psionic energy we are most aggrieved to see him leave our presence. We as yet, cannot ascertain proof of his death or location. We do know that he cannot be sensed within any portion of Terran Space. Our great white fleet, searches on and the President of the United Peoples of Earth, has ordered the expansion of our boarders to locate such a valuable member of our armed forces.

The whirlwind of light and energy finally hurled him into a blank construct of pure white, seeming to extend forever in every direction, including downwards. Sarin was about to rub his eyes as if to clear them when the white seemed to vibrate in harmony with a deep almost all-knowing voice.

"Young Stukov, I give you two choices, you may return to whence you came and allow your potential talent to be wasted, or I can send you to a more primitive time, before the psionic dark age. Were you to go back in time, you will receive proper training and a companion for journeys through history lost to your kind."

Sarin was about to respond when a darkness, fire, and wind deposited another, a young man about 18 or so, in the pure white space.

The voice spoke again, "Ah, young Harry Potter, I would give you your choices as I have given Stukov's. You may journey to a time when your powers can maintain their full potential, and journey on with Sarin Stukov if he so desires or you will merely go back to your aunt's home."

Sarin saw the immediate reaction from those last words and spoke up. "I will go, be it alone or with a known ally, although I do prefer the latter. Although I do have one question, while I train…" Sarin was cut off at that point.

"We." Harry corrected.

Sarin continued after the prompt. "While WE train, will there be any changes in our time, I mean to say will we be returned near the same time as we were taken or will time continue on as if we had only been moved to a different location?"

Merlin, as Harry named the voice, replied in kind, "Since you will train together, you will help the other in their own time. You will return 48 hours after your disappearance I will allow you to choose where to continue your lives after your tasks are complete." With that the two young men phased out of existence in a nonexistent location.
