I don't own DBZ, and I just was listening to "A Hero Comes Home" from Beowulf and this popped into my head...
Enjoy My Madness
A woman with dark black hair would be sitting on a swing looking out over the surrounding area, a bright smile curled her lips as she watched her husband of many years rough house with their two spontanous sons. Chuckling softly as the youngest tackles his father, the woman would continue to swing and would get to her feet and heads to the porch grabbing up a small harp she'd go back to the swing and sets it in her lap as she sits down and her fingers begin to move over the strings as a soft melody resembling a lullaby would sound over the yard, the woman's mouth would open and she'd begin to sing.
Just wait, though wide he may roam,
Always
A hero comes home
The melodious tune would drift into the ears of the youngest child, his onyx eyes bright with awe and curiousity as his mother sang, scurrying over to her he'd climb into her lap but was able to make it so that he didn't interrupt her playing. Leaning back against her breast his eyes close with a serene smile as his mother held onto him as she continued to sing
He goes where no one has gone
But always
A hero comes home
Soon the eldest, a boy of 18 would join her side and he'd sit down indian style looking up at the woman with a soft smile on his handsome face, he'd slowly sway back and forth as his loving and caring (Albeit a bit over protective) mother sang her song, her fingers running gracefully over the strings.
He knows of places unknown
always
A hero comes home
As he watched his sons as they joined their mother a warm smile would be on his face as he looked into the eyes of his wife, his life mate, his best friend, and the holder of his very heart. He was filled with such warmth he couldn't help but smile at the fuzzy scene, he loved that little woman, as much as she yelled and smacked him with that frying pan. He couldn't bare not to love her, she was imortally beautiful in his eyes. Sure it was hard for him to express his love to her, but he knew that she knew actions spoke louder then words and not to mention if you watched the couple. You could see it, the subtle touches the looks that the two gave one another, the love was always there. Walking over to him, her eyes beckoning for him to come to her, and he'd obey those eyes. Walking behind her he'd place his hands on her shoulders and would wrap his strong arms around her shoulders holding her to his strong chest, pressing his cheek to her's, his chin on her shoulder. Eyes closing a relaxed smile on his face, somehow, he knew she was singing about him.
He goes where no one has gone
But always
A Hero Comes Home
The song would finish on a lovely final note, and its player would let the note fade off on its own, the woman leans back against her husband's chest, and looks down at her darling youngest who'd look at her and grins "Will you play it again, mama?" he'd ask her with an adorably tilt of his head. Slowly she nods "Of course, honey" she'd begin to tune up again, and continues to rest against her husband's chest.
Just wait, though wide he may roam,
A lovely smile would remain on her lips, her eyes closed serenly and peacefully as her song carressed the very souls of her family right down to the last note that she played her heart and soul out. She heard her husband sigh as he kisses her cheek and her smile widen even more
Always,
A hero comes home
