"Hauauauauauaua!" Hanyuu frantically cried as she stared into the fridge.
Sleepily opening her eyes, Rika sat up annoyed by the rude awakening. She noticed Hanyuu no longer sleeping in a separate futon, but rather she was in the kitchen whining about something. Getting out of her own futon, the Furude girl went to see what was going on.
"Hanyuu?"
"R-Rika..." The tearful god looked back at her and showed her what was inside the fridge. A few food groups and a plate with nothing on it. "M-my crème puffs... Gone, nano desu... I didn't get even one, nano desu..."
"..." Rika recalled the sleepover the very night before. "Someone from last night probably ate them." She looked at Hanyuu, realizing she was about to burst into tears. "It's okay, desu. We can get more." She told her friend to wait while she got ready and the two would go on a trip to buy creme puffs.
And when they did... No place in Hinamizawa nor in Okinomiya seemed to have any in store.
Rika decided they'd just wait until tomorrow, maybe they'll restock. So, they waited until tomorrow, but there were still not any crème puffs. And, Rika told her friend not to fret, there will be a restocking the next day. ...That statement came out negative.
"Au au, au au, au au, au au!"
Rika silently tried reassuring her friend by patting her head. "There will be some tomorrow, nano desu."
Turns out there weren't going to be crème puffs that next day either.
"Hauauauauauuauauauauau!"
"Maybe we can ask around." Rika suggested, getting a bit fed up with the god's constant au au's. And just as she said, the two asked around Hinamizawa and Okinomiya. Yet, still nothing. "To think Angel Mort ran out..."
"HAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAUAU!"
"..." It was getting hard to think. "Hrr, the next crème puff we see will be filled with Wasabi if someone doesn't stop whining!"
"Hau au, Mean Rika! You're mean, nano desu!"
Annoyed, Rika walked away from her and turned the corner of a building. She didn't come back. However, Hanyuu figured she went back home or was searching on her own. So, the god returned home.
Rika wasn't there and strangely, neither was Satoko, but Hanyuu figured the two were out playing with the others. It was getting late though, but before Hanyuu could fall asleep, Rika came in with a smile on her face.
"Hanyuu. Let's go."
"Huh?"
Rika simply took hold of her hand and had herself and Hanyuu leave the house. They walked to the spot where one can see Hinamizawa below. The spot behind the Furude Shrine.
Hanyuu noticed everyone was on a picnic blanket with their own bento boxes in front of them. And in the middle of that blanket was a big plate with a hill of crème puffs.
"Hau~, Hanyuu's expression is so cute! Omochikaeri~!"
"Hey, looks like we're all here. Come on, take a seat."
"Hanyuu." Rika called as she looked over to the confused lavender haired girl. "It has been a full year since defeating Fate. It seems so long ago now, but we've really accomplished a lot."
"You can have as many crème puffs as you want here. I won't let Keiichi take any this time." Satoko said.
"Huh? You took some too!"
"But not as many as you!"
"You're still at fault!" He went to noogie Satoko, but she ran behind Rika and spat out her tongue.
"Hah, yeah, but I took some as well." Mion confessed.
"Me too." Rika admitted. "Nipah~!"
"Rena's sorry too."
"And I may have managed to take one or two as well."
"It's okay, Shion." Hanyuu began as she sat down with the others. "Rena, Rika, Mion, Keiichi, Satoko. I'm not angry or sad, nano desu. I'm just happy to be with great friends. Let's enjoy this night in Hinamizawa under the stars." She smiled and every one agreed.
This was the gift they all earned together.
