We were both lying on the couch watching Romeo and Juliet. It felt like it was only yesterday when I watched Romeo and Juliet with Edward in my living room for the first time. Only this time we both had rings on our fingers, we were on the couch in the new Cullen house, and I am a vampire.
Rosalie and Emmett are going to have another wedding because we just moved to a new town. Of course Alice will be planning it all. Alice did an amazing job on our wedding. She was right when she told me I would thank her some day.
"Are you ready to go hunting?" Edward asked.
"Yup! Lets go," I said as we both got off the couch and turned off the TV.
I have never regretted becoming a vampire since I get to live with Edward forever. I miss having dreams about Edward while I slept though, but now I can fly with him and I am now on the Cullen baseball team. Alice jut ordered new uniforms for the team even though we all know the one's we have now are perfectly fine.
Edward and I went downstairs, got Alice and Jasper, and went into the garage.
"My car or yours?" he asked.
"I don't care," I said.
Edward just got a new car. It is the newest Volvo and it goes really fast. I've lost track of how many Volvos Edward has gone through. My car is a red, nonconvertible Porsche. Alice insisted that I get a Porsche since she thinks they are the best after getting her first yellow Porsche.
Edward grabbed my car keys and hopped in the car. I followed him in and sat down in the passenger seat. Alice and Jasper got in Alice's Porsche and rolled the top down since today it is cloudy.
Jasper said to us, "race you there!"
As soon as I was buckled in Edward stepped on the gas pedal and both cars were flying down the road. He was smiling his crooked smile. Edward is still protective of me even though I am indestructible. He insists that I have my seat belt on whenever I am in the car.
Cars rarely ever drove on this road so Jasper drove on the wrong side of the road so he could attempt to pass us. Edward sped up every time Jasper did. I didn't like racing very much, but I didn't want to ruin the fun so I kept my mouth shut.
Edward stopped the car and I saw from the corner of my eye that Alice and Jasper had stopped too. I hadn't realized that we were already at the forest. We got out of the car.
I didn't like hunting very much, but I knew it was something I had to do. We were hunting all day. When we got back the others were there to greet us. Edward and I went up to our bedroom.
"What should we do?" I asked.
"I have an idea. Cover your eyes and follow me.' He said as he grabbed my hand.
I don't know how he could still surprise me after being together for so long. I didn't like the thought of being surprised, but I kept my eyes shut anyway. I was about to walk toward the door when Edward turned me the other way. I could hear him open the window. He picked me up and carried me out on the roof. I kept my eyes shut as he held me in his arms.
"You can open your eyes now," he said as he set me down.
We were on the highest part of the roof. It was pitch-dark out and there were millions of stars in the sky. Edward looked beautiful in the moonlight. He layed down on his back and I layed down next to him. The sky was beautiful tonight with the full moon. Everything was gray and it felt like the whole earth had frozen in place except for Edward and I.
We stayed out there talking and telling stories from our childhood. I wished the night would go on forever and never end. Everything was absolutely perfect. Just Edward and I under the stars.
