a/n: So, I've been trying to steer away from writing about the Jonas Brothers lately. And this is the result. Forgive me if I screwed up Oliver and Lilly's personalities; I haven't written a real story for HM in a while...
disclaimer: Hannah Montana isn't mind. Sorry to disappoint.

Lilly Truscott had never considered herself to be a particularly lucky person.
She was always humiliating herself, often got caught up in her best friend's shenanigans, and had recently taken up the habit of tripping either up or down flights of stairs. She had also definitely inherited the "wrong place, wrong time" gene from her father.
Therefore, she found the luck of St. Patrick's Day to be completely and totally ridiculous, as well as the idea of four-leaf clovers.
In fact, she found St. Patrick's Day to be a relatively pointless holiday solely celebrated for going to parties and getting wasted. That was namely what her older brother did.
March 17th, 2011 was no different...
Lilly woke up, got ready for school, ate a bowl of Lucky Charms (oh the irony), and drove to Seaview High School for another monotonous day.
And as soon as she walked in, her blue eyes were met by a whole lot of green. Students wore emerald, paper clovers adorned the walls, and some kid in a corner had a green tint to his face, although that could have been for another reason entirely.
Lilly wore no green, she wore a purple shirt and blue jeans with her favorite pair of -
"Ouch!" Lilly cried when she felt a sharp pinch of her arm.
"Didn't wear green today Lillian, tsk tsk tsk." Oliver Oken said from behind her.
"Oliver, give me something green, I don't want to be pinched to – OW!" Lilly hissed, but was pinched again before she could finish her sentence.
"Here, I brought you some green beads. But I had to get the satisfaction of pinching you again." the dark-haired boy smirked, pulling some green Mardi Gras beads from his pocket.
Lilly glared, snatching the beads and throwing them over her neck. She rubbed the red spot on her arm from where he'd pinched her. "Oken, you're mean, you know that?"
"Eighteen years old and the only comeback you have is you're mean?"
The blonde girl smiled, lightly punching Oliver's shoulder. She really did enjoy their playful banter, no matter how much she denied it. Actually, Lilly harbored somewhat of a crush on Oliver.
"So tell me, Luckless Lilly, how are you today?"
"As luckless and Lilly-like as ever. I hate St. Patrick's Day." Lilly scowled, kicking a wad of notebook paper lying on the floor. She hated being hopelessly in love with her best friend.
"Hey, St. Patrick's Day isn't that bad. The worst holiday by far is April Fool's Day," Oliver reasoned, slipping his arm around Lilly's shoulder.
Lilly's shoulder, in turn, began to tingle.
Stupid shoulder, quit that tingling! The blonde reprimanded herself.
The rest of the walk to their first period Geometry (ugh) class seemed longer and more silent then usual. The two best friends either had nothing to say (not likely) or they just preferred to enjoy each other's company in silence (probably).
"Lilly, do you really feel unlucky today?" Oliver said, glancing down at Lilly.
"Yes, as a -"
Lilly was cut off by Oliver pressing his lips against hers, and everything seemed to spin, and Lilly felt as giddy as a schoolgirl.
"No personal displays of affection!" a teacher suddenly barked at the two.
Oliver and Lilly jumped apart, both blushing and embarrassed
"How about now?" Oliver managed to say.
Lilly smiled toothily.
"I'm the luckiest girl in the universe."

Yes, well that was exceptionally cheesy, pointless, and short. Yes, Oliver and Lilly are relatively OOC, I know.
Please review with more than "so cute!" or "i loved it!", please.
