New found Magyk

1: Water Magyk

Sonea walked across the bare surface of the cool water with ease, she was amazed at what she could do with her own powers.

She was hypnotised by the way the water danced under her feet.

"What the flaming hell!"

Sonea looked over her shoulder to see she had attracted a crowd with her miracle movements.

People of all ages were staring at her wide eyed with terror or wonder, they didn't know who she was because she wasn't wearing her trademark black robes for she was wearing a tight purple battle suit with her hair in a ponytail which reached her waist.

As she turned she spoke.

"Well if looks could kill."

She laughed at her private little joke and began towards the shore, and the crowd.

"Hey wait I know who that is, it's her!"

It was the same voice as before, Sonea recognised it as easily as telling black from white.

Regin.

She stopped five metres from shore, turned her back to the crowd and raised her hand.

The centre of the lake began to spiral upwards into the shape of the Guild Arena, the past three months of experimenting with this magic had paid off wonderfully.

The makeshift arena changed to ice, Regin's jaw dropped to the dusty ground. He had always been the one to show off but now the tables had turned.

A small smirk played across Sonea's face.

"Impressed?" She tried to keep the amusement out of her voice but she was non to successful.

"Very good, did you think a few tricks would make everyone forget who you really are? Hmmm?"

"Ha-ha, Regin you really don't think before you speak do you!" Sonea exclaimed. It wasn't a question. "Doesn't that remind you of anything" She grinned mockingly.

"Would you care to join me?" Sonea continued before he could ask the obvious. "Just place your foot above the water."

He obeyed as if he was a novice again, his foot hovered over the water. It transformed into ice in an instant, there was no hiding his surprise. Regin tried the ice to make it wasn't an illusion.

Now putting all his weight onto the ice he began the walk towards the past.
