Truth Be Told

Abbey's POV

Tensions are running high.

If they knew about us, he wouldn't be interrogating me. If they knew about us, an MS scandal would be the least of our problems.

He can barely look at me; I can't look away. He is exhausted, physically and emotionally, and I worry. Acetylsalicylic acid. He needs aspirin, he needs reassurance, he needs me. He can have the first two.

Was it wrong of me to conceal this even from him? Is it wrong to tell your lover of your husband's debilitating disease?

Loyalty is a bewildering thing to share. Equal distribution is never achieved.
