Synopsis: Lysander knew that Castiel, his most recent but closest friend of six months, was inexperienced when it came to dating. He was blunt and rude to girls, so it showed him that Castiel did not know how to treat a lady. Being around a hundred years old already, Lysander knew exactly how to seduce and love a woman. If his friend did not know what to do when it came to his latest crush, then it was up to Lysander to help him. But what if it was trickery that compelled the young woman to fall for Castiel, and most of all, what if he caught the older vampire in the middle of his dirty work? Would Castiel finally abandon Lysander like all his past so-called friends once did?
Author notes: This is my first time ever writing a story with a vampire character. I've read them, but never written them before. On the note of BL, this may actually focus way more on Lys' and Cas' friendship than romance.
Warning: mention of character death
Some days were hot. Some days cold. Some days warm, some days chilly.
Lysander Valdare was someone who identified every single slow, painstaking, wretched, melancholic day in his seemingly immortal life by such temperatures. It allowed him to pass the forever endless hours of painful loneliness. One day, the dream he hoped most for would be to end those days once and for all – until he meets Castiel Raffield, and learns there's a whole different meaning to friendship than 'betrayal'.
Watching his older brother, Lysander had a glaring suspicion that Leigh was doing more than licking that female's slender neck. He looked like he was drinking from it.
Had the sore growing teeth that Lysander experienced on his sixth birthday meant fangs? Were they actually born full-fledged vampires? Then what of their parents, who had died of heart failure so many years ago?
Lysander watched as Leigh lifted his head from the older girl, then dropped her to the living room couch like she was baggage. He stared at Lysander from across the room. "Lys, come here," he said, beckoning with a finger.
It was too bad Lysander hadn't realized that was the last time he would get to speak to his brother again, and even worse, the last time he would see him until he found him dead several years later.
