Yellow always felt left out, ignored, and forgotten. She never told anyone, though. She thought it wasn't important. If everyone else was happy, she was happy. At least that was what she told herself.
At first, Yellow mostly felt left out. She was the only Dexholder who didn't have a proper starter pokemon. She wasn't the same age as the Kanto Dexholders. Yellow was the only Dexholder who- in Yellow's opinion –had freaky powers.
Yellow began to notice that she was forgotten when the Kanto group got together. Blue called together a group outing to have some fun. Yellow was the last one to arrive, and the other three were already heading somewhere. Rushing up to them, she stayed at the back. Blue eventually noticed her and chirped, "Oh, Yellow! There you are! I didn't see you there!"
Forcing a smile on her face Yellow replied, "It's okay, Blue. I don't mind." Red started chatting about battles. However, Yellow was slowly being forgotten again. It continued like that for the rest of the group outing. Yellow told herself once again, it wasn't important. If everyone else was happy, she was happy.
The next get-together was with all of the other Dexholders. It was for a variety show, and the host wanted the Dexholders to be the stars. At first, Yellow agreed to go. After all, she was going to a variety show! It was going to be fun! When she got there, however, she changed her mind.
"Welcome to the Pokedex Holder Get-Together!" The host said. "You may call me Annie. What we are going to do is play a game! For this game, you will need to split into groups, okay? The groups will go by your region." The Dexholders split up into teams, and then Gold noticed something.
"Hey, that's no fair! Our Seniors have four members!" Gold complained, pointing at his seniors.
"I do consider it rather unfair," Platina stated.
"Oh, that's right! Yellow, can you get out please?" Annie asked. Yellow nodded, forcing a half-hearted smile on her face. For the rest of the game, Yellow sat to the side, watching the others play. It was okay, right? Next time they came, she would be included, right?
Wrong. The next time the Dexholders met up, they grouped up according to their starter type. Grass, fire, and water. No room for electric. Yellow was the odd one out. She sat out once again, watching the others play. This kept on happening, and soon, Yellow didn't bother going; nobody noticed, nobody cared.
Soon, the show ended, and the Dexholders' lives were back to normal. Blue called another Kanto Dexholder outing. This time, she forgot about Yellow. Yellow saw them heading out, but she didn't do anything. Watching them walk away, she wanted them to notice and remember her. But they didn't notice. They didn't remember. So all Yellow did was tug on her straw hat, making a shadow hide her eyes, and walked home.
Yellow was sure of one thing: her friends forgot about her. Part of her wanted to storm up to them, to scream and shout at them, to make them notice her. The other part wanted to remain hidden. If they forgot about her, surely they would forget again. They didn't deserve her friendship, she reasoned. So she remained hidden. And the fourth Dexholder, Yellow de Viridian Grove, the Healer, remained forgotten, unnoticed.
Hello, everyone. This is my first story, so I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me what you think of the story. Thanks for reading!
