Daniel was walking down the halls of the SGC, with his head in a book, heading to his office. It was a Sunday so they base wasn't fully staffed, which is why for once Daniel didn't run into anyone, literally.
When he arrived in his office he went to his desk and sat down. He heard a small cracking noise and then felt wetness seep through his pants. He jolted back up from his chair and looked down at the seat. There laid a broken egg, the yellow yolk mixing with the transparent whites amidst the fragments of shell. He knew the scene in the chair was now mirrored on the ass of his pants.
"Damn it Vala!"
Just then the subject of his cursing stuck her head in the doorway. "Did you call me?", she asked.
"Vala what the hell is this?" Daniel asked pointing to his chair.
"Oh! You found one already!" Vala replied as she beamed back at him, like a broken egg in his chair was a good thing.
"What are you talking about? I didn't find it I sat on it!" He shouted twisting half way around and pointing at the seat of his pants.
"Well Daniel, when you find an Easter Egg you are supposed to put it in a basket, not sit on it. I'm not even from Earth and I know that." Vala told him defensively.
Daniel rolled his eyes, "Yes that is true, but the eggs should be hard boiled or plastic ones filled with candy, not raw and in my chair."
"Fine next time I'll know. Come on you have to hurry, Sgt. Siler has already found 10 eggs, and you need to catch up if you want to win!"
"There is a contest?"
"Yes and you need to win, the grand prize is a giant chocolate bunny and I want it!"
"Then why don't you go find eggs? I have work to do."
"Well I am the one who hid them so that wouldn't exactly be fair now would it? Work can wait. Please!" Vala gave Daniel her best set of puppy dog eyes.
"Fine," Daniel said with a sigh, "will we go find eggs. I just need to go change my pants first."
Vala clapped her hands and hopped in place, a giant smile crossed her face. "That bunny is mine!"
Daniel turned to leaving his office with Vala bouncing along behind him.
