After everything I've gone through to get to Jeanette, she rejects me. What a sucky journey this has been. Well, it's not like she's dead or anything anymore.

The Organization was hosting a little party because of Jeanette's return. I decided to go, and Axel wanted to play "Seven Minutes In Heaven". I told him I'd be a part of it - and Riku offered me a chance to pick the first two participants.

I chose Axel and Roxas.

The first four minutes were boring as hell. Then, I got an idea.

Guitar in hand, I headed for the stage. I went over to the microphone.

"This is dedicated to the one girl waiting out there for me," I said. "She might not be in the room with me, but I just wanted her to know I'll be with her eventually."

I started singing after I played the first few chords:

I'm not surprised, not everything lasts
I've broken my heart so many times I stopped keeping track
Talk myself in, I talk myself out
I get all worked up then I let myself down

I tried so very hard not to lose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought, I thought of every possibility

My brothers came up behind me with Dustin, a different instrument with each of them. I knew they'd come up eventually.

And I know some day that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you kid that I give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

Sora and Riku were dancing with each other in the back while I was singing. Creepy, I thought, but I'll live.

I might have to wait, I'll never give up
I guess it's half timing and the other half's luck
Wherever you are, whenever it's right
You'll come outta nowhere and into my life

And I know that we can be so amazing
And baby, your love is gonna change me
And now I can see every possibility

Somehow I know that it'll all turn out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And promise you, kid, I'll give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

I saw Jeanette and the other girls waving to me from one of the tables. I guess I had the right song picked for tonight.

They say all's fair in love and war
But I won't need to fight it
We'll get it right and we'll be united

And I know that we can be so amazing
And being in your life is gonna change me
And now I can see every single possibility

Theodore got on the piano for my solo.

And someday I know it'll all turn out
And I'll work to work it out
Promise you, kid, I'll give more than I get

Oh you know it'll all turn out
And you'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And promise you kid to give so much more than I get yeah
I just haven't met you yet

I just haven't met you yet
Oh promise you kid to give so much more than I get
I said love love love love love love love
I just haven't met you yet

As the song finished, Luna dragged out Axel and Roxas, who were still going at it, from the closet. As the next two - Sora and Riku - were pushed in, I went over to the girls' table.

"Great job!" Eleanor exclaimed. "I think that's the best performance you've ever done!"

Jeanette nudged me on the arm. "Can I talk to you for a second?"

"Sure," I answered as she dragged me towards the bathrooms.

"That was awesome, what you did back there."

I blushed. "Thank you."

Unexpectedly, Jeanette gave me a kiss on the lips. "That meant nothing," she told me as she started walking away.

I just gave her a smile. "Whatever you say, Jeanette. Whatever you say."
