Standing Here

Standing here

Watching you

Fighting

Fighting

Don't lose your cool

I couldn't stand the pain

Of seeing you fall

Keep fighting

Fighting

Your face, so calm

Knowing this could be it

My face, a mask

Hiding the turmoil within

Fighting

Fighting

You disappear in the smoke

I can't see you

Where are you, Kurama?

Don't leave me now

Fighting

Fighting

You're there, safe, silver fur

You summon your plant

You toy with your prey

Oh, no

Please, no

Something's gone wrong

Your hair is red again

You can barely stand

Yet, still, you keep on

Fighting

Fighting

You attack

You're weak, losing blood

No! again you fall

This time you don't stand

Fighting

Fighting

You summon from where you are

Spending the last of your strength

To end the fight

Once more you fall

Fighting

Fighting

From where I stand

My eyes open in shock

I can't believe it

Are you dead?

I pray you aren't

Fighting

Fighting

You open your eyes, alive!

I relax

Though you can hardly stand,

You live

To fight

Fight

Another day

This is my first attempt at a Yu Yu Hakusho poem, written quite a while ago. Just a week or so after I watched Yoko Kurama. It is from Hiei's point of view. (Hiei: "Hn. Baka ningin.") It was set during the dark tournament, when Kurama fought Karasu. The first YYH episode I watched, as a matter of fact. Since then I have seen more episodes. 'The power of Taboo' is my favorite so far, but I expect that to change as I see more episodes! .Heh, heh…the look on Kurama's face was so cute!...

R&R, please!
