It's been like this ever since they became teammates.

He has always admired Kyouya, always loved how lean muscles shifted underneath taut skin. He's always so aloof and seems harsh, but he'll do anything for his teammates. It's something that he has always admired, seeing Kyouya on his TV, willing to do anything to help his friends, fighting against all the odds stacked against him. Nile figures that seeing him fight is what attracts him. When he sees Kyouya rescue Gingka Hagane, that's when his heart melts. Somehow, Nile falls in love with a stranger that he has never even met. It's stupid and foolish, but the blader can't find the urge to care; love is foolish and blind.

So when he hears that a competion to fight in the WBBA tournament is right around the corner, Nile jumps as the chance.

It's hard to say how much he's surprised when he finds Kyouya himself running around in the desert. But he masks it, just like all of his other emotions. They join the team together, and Nile has never been happier.

After nearly two weeks of them being partners, Nile is presented with an opportunity that he's been dying to get. Kyouya makes the first move, and Nile doesn't even know what's going on, but when he can think clearly, he realizes that the both of them have had sex together. Kyouya says nothing throughout the whole encounter. In fact, he never says anything. Just the same distant look. Not even a sound. Not a moan, a groan, a sound of pleasure. Nothing.

Nile doesn't mind, because the one he has fallen in love with is actually wanting to be with him. But after nearly two months, the redhead begins to wonder what's going on; am I not good enough? Not worth any sound? Annoying?

He understands soon enough what's going on, what has been going on.

Kyouya never really wanted him. In fact, Kyouya has never really wanted him.

Nile realizes this during one of their times together.

Finally Kyouya has made a noise, uttered a name. Has broken his usual silence.

The redhead should be overjoyed.

But he isn't.

Why?

Because the name isn't his.

The name is Gingka Hagane's.

And for the first time, he sees Kyouya breakdown into tears. Listens to him cry, saying sorry, how he loves Gingka with all his heart, promises that he'll never leave him.

And Nile cries along with him.

Why?

Because Kyouya has been using him. Giving him false hope. Slowly destroying him.

But Nile smiles, the stretching of a grin filled with pain and sadness.

And he whispers in a tan ear, creating something between them, acting completely and utterly foolish, because this is Kyouya and Nile loves him.

"It's alright, Kyouya; I'm here."

And Kyouya smiles, and Nile smiles too. But it hurts, because Kyouya does not want him.

"I love you, Gingka."

"I love you too, Kyouya. I've always loved you."

I was hit with inspiration and this sort of happened. Welp. I remember a guest reviewer saying they wanted a NilexKyouya or TsubasaxKyouya story, and this is what happened. -Shi
