So, up until the 2/14 episode, I thought Jarley was the cutest thing ever. But then came the episode, and Jake has to be all stupid, and blah blah blah...

Whatever. Point is, I'm pretty sure I want Marley to be with Ryder now.

He wanted her. Desperately. Every part of him wanted to have her, protect her, love her. And every single time, he felt a sharp pain in the back of his mind, reminding him of one unfortunate fact: She was his best friend's girl. 'Course, she was his first, and then Jake just barges in, swiftly and deadly, like a hawk, and takes her away from him. He mentally kicked himself for thinking that.

She was happy, and that was all that mattered. Seeing her happy made him happy, but a part of him couldn't help but feel envious that he wasn't the cause of her joy. He tried to distract himself from her, with glee, or football, but she was always there at the back of his mind, like her image was imprinted there, smiling that beautiful smile of hers.

Then he and Jake became friends, which made him feel a whole lot worse. He was crushing (massively) on his best friend's girl, and the worst part was that there wasn't anything he could do about it.

When he caught her trying to throw-up, right before Grease's opening night, he felt a white-hot anger build up inside him. But the anger wasn't directed at her. It was directed at himself.

He should've paid more attention to her. He should've been there for her all those times he wasn't. The list of what he should've done could go on forever.

Then came Valentine's Day, when Jake announced with complete confidence that he was going to get 'laid' that night. He was so filled with different emotions he couldn't even name all of them. He knew for a fact that one was anger. She was clearly not ready for something like this. If Jake knew her so well, shouldn't he know she wasn't ready?

Another one was confusion. Jake had asked him for help with giving her the perfect Valentine's Day. He had thought it was just him trying to be sweet and loving to his girlfriend. He had no idea it was for something more.

And he felt another thing, something that made him irritated at himself for thinking: jealousy.

Maybe him and her weren't meant to be, but he couldn't stop himself from having wishful thinking.

And although he was confused about a lot of things in his life, he was absolutely positive about one thing: he was unconditionally and indescribably in love with Marley Rose.

Sorry I didn't mention the kiss at the end of the episode. That was probably one of the best parts of the entire episode. :)
