And You Want Him To Be King of Gondor?
Author's Notes: Aragorn grew up with the Elves, right? So what will the Elves do when faced with raising a hyper human child? Possible just one chapter, possibly more, it all depends on the feedback. So, as always,

"Elladan! Elladan! Are you listening?" Estel whined, trying to get his adoptive brother's attention.
"No," was the sarcastic reply.
"Well then, listen! I got an idea!" Oh, joy. Another one of Estel's ideas. The last one went something along the lines of "Let's tie the cat to Mithrandir!" He had not visited since.
Elladan sighed. "Do you remember your last idea?" Eressea forbid he forgot.
Estel frowned. "This one's good."
"You thought the last one was good, too," Ellrohir put in, look up from whatever largish book he was reading. "If we listen to your idea, will you be quiet?"
"I guess so," Estel answered, feeling slightly outsmarted.
"Do we have do guess or are you going to tell us?" Elladan asked, marginally less patient then his brother.
"Here it is," said Estel, brightening up again. "You make a big pile of leaves, and I'll hide in it, and then when Father gets back, I'll jump out of it and surprise him!"
The twins paused for a second and then immediately agreed.
After raking up the biggest pile of leaves in Rivendell around their ah, imaginative little brother, all the Elves could do was wait when for Elrond to return. He had said that he would be back sometime around midday, but he wasn't known for his punctuality. So Ellrohir was working to make the huge pile of leaves even bigger, and Elladan was trying to make sure that you couldn't see Estel's breathing through the six inches of leave, but keeping in mind that he should remain breathing through the same six inches of leaves. These tasks kept them occupied for the half hour or so they were waiting. The twins were still working on it when Elrond arrived.
"I'm back! What are you two looking at?" Elrond asked curiously.
"Um, nothing," Elladan answered.
"Okaaay, then. Where's Estel? I would think he would be with you."
"I'm here!" cried Estel, springing up from the leaves like a buoy.
"Ahhh!" Elrond yelled.

"I'm sorry I gave you a heart attack," Estel mumbled, looking at his shoes.
Elrond smiled. "That's alright. You didn't mean to. But I don't think I'll be leaving Rivendell much anymore if I get a welcome like that every time I return."
They both laughed.
