Claire gazes at herself in the mirror, glancing at her sunkissed skin, blond curls that gracefully framed her face, and her slowly drooping eyes. She knows that day after day, the more she goes without Peter, the harder her life would get.

When Claire glances at her reflection, all she can see is Peter behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist, holding her close as not just a familial gesture, but a lover's as well. She can see him, his hair she's always wanted to sit and run her fingers through, his dark chocolate colored eyes, and his stubble around his mouth... she can inhale his masculine scent that slightly smells of some sort of European cologne, not a cheap knockoff. His whisper lingers in her ear, making it tingle, making her shiver.

But then, as she double checks, right when she really... feels him there, he vanishes, and she remembers it's only a mirage. And it's happening again.

Claire sniffs, wiping her face, then lightly dusting her face with some make up that she only used subtly, because even though she was a cheerleader, she didn't want to dunk her whole head in powder. Clipping on some earrings and jewelry, she sighs, as her Mirage Peter wraps his arms around her... and she can't fathom how it's all a daydream. She sees him behind her... it's almost like that mirror from Harry Potter...

But of course, not all dreams are meant to come true.

Claire hears a light tapping on her window, and she rolls her eyes, knowing it's probably West begging for her back or something... but as she turns her head and her green eyes widen, the innocence from the past years restoring instantly, she sees...

"Peter."

It's just a whisper, a thought, and she opens her window, feeling the wind, and as his hand lightly caresses her cheek, "Claire," He replies... they don't need reasons to see each other, she won't ask, as Peter steps through her window and he takes her into his arms, they embrace... she knows he's wearing that cologne she's been dreaming of, and his arms are as loving as can be. A smile spreads across her face, and now, she knows...

This isn't a mirage.
