Arwen's Poem
When I set this crown about my head,
I accepted that this would come to be
Yet even as I accepted,
I failed to foresee the amount of pain this would cause
As I sat by his side, I never questioned the choice that I made
Yet now as I stand here, watching him in eternal repose
I cannot help but wonder If my father was right...
Perhaps I should have gone, should have said goodbye
and hardened my heart
For now the future I foresaw has dispersed into mist
and I must accept fate, however cold and lonely
Inspired by J.R.R. Tolkien's
"The Lord of the Rings"
