The Yearly 365 Challenge
Prompt #111 (Item) Locker
"Do you remember when we barged into the boys locker room that first time?" A smirk lit her lips as a blush rose in her cheeks. "I was so embarrassed seening that meaning teenage boys in just their towels; and underwear. I mean I was quite used to seeing my own older brother in such states throughout my life ... but that was the first time that I saw more then half of my male classmates in such states."
"It wasn't the last time I dragged you in the boys locker room." Veronica grinned. "I quite remember that you; Betty dear; have dragged me in there plenty of times throughout our time there." Her right eye brow wiggled. "You managed to get the first drag through boy locker room full on naked teenage boy mind you." She laughed. "Matter of fact by the time I managed that feat myself ... your count was four to my one."
Betty shrugged. "I had the talent." She giggled. "Poor Archie. He never got over the embarrassment in the four times that I managed to. To this day he is still blushng mess whenever those times come up."
"He told me that if I ever managed to drag you inside the locker room one more time; and get a naked male ... then he would be on me like a dog." Veronica looked Betty straight in the eyes. "That's why I never got more then one. Whenever I needed to be in that locker room I always texted Reggie to be in there; and tell me if anyone was naked or not."
Betty sighed deeply. "I wish you told me that Archie did that to you; Ronnie." Hardness entered her eyes. "I would have straightened him out." She shook her head. "He's my best friend; more like a brother to me now. But he had no right to say that or treat you like that ... after all I have a brother in Chic ... if I needed a brother interference then Chic should have been the one to do it." Her anger towards Archie Andrews rose a little higher after learning this. How dare he! She had never once given him the permisson to protect her in this fashion.
"I shouldn't have told you." Veronica sighed. "Come on Betty; don't hold this against Archie. He was right ..."
"No he wasn't! Not after I dragged you in the boys locker room four different times and finding a naked male in there. All because you dragged me in and we saw one naked male ... doesn't give him any rights to treat you the way he did." Betty growled.
Veronica sighed. "Sorry that I remembered that." She stood to her feet.
"Where are you going?" Betty watched as her wife moved towards the doorway.
Veronica paused. She turned halfway around. "You are in mood to recall funny high school memories right now Betty. I'm not in the mood to listen to you go off on a misguided Archie Andrews ... and I'm not in the mood to listen to you as you call him and chew him out for honesty caring about you ... and truly wanting to protect you." She sighed. With on last look at her wife; she turned and left the living room.
Betty sighed as she leaned back in the chair. She knew that Veronica was quite correct. She was going to call Archie and yell at him ... but her wife's words spurn around her head. She frowned as she realized that her temper was in such a state that she was very likely going to end her friendship with Archie if she attempted to speak to him right in the moment. She didn't want to do that. Not with Archie. Archie meant a very important things in her heart and soul. She couldn't cut him out of her life over his misguided sense in wanting to protect her.
