I noticed the Phoenix/Maya stories are starting to run thin so I decided to write this little one-shot. A little idea I got from the Ace Attorney 6 news. I hope you guys like it.

Phoenix stood in the middle of the town square, looking through the crowds for someone. He turned around to see a girl, no woman, running up to him through the crowd. The woman ran up to Phoenix and tackled him to the ground. Phoenix recovered from his dad and studied the woman's face that was so near to his. Phoenix gave a small chuckle, "Hello Maya, it's great to see you again."

"Nice to see me! You haven't contacted me for eight years!" she said as she helped Phoenix off the ground. It was true. After being disbarred their friendship had disappeared. Sure Maya would send him a few letters here and there, but Phoenix never responded. Phoenix had barely reestablished a relationship with her a couple months ago. He knew that what he did was for her own good, but it still stung both of them.

"I am sorry bout that," Phoenix said as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly, "but I couldn't risk your safety."

"That's ok," Maya said as she eyed Phoenix up and down, "you got older."

"And so did you."

"But I got older in a good way."

"What is that supposed mean?"

"I means I got older in a good way."

"Yeah, but. You know what, never mind. So what have you been up to these past years?"

"Ugh! Training, training, and training. I have done nothing as interesting as you. I wish I could've been back home with you!" Maya was glad she could speed up the advancement of he clan through her Master position, but she still missed Phoenix and couldn't wait to be with him again. She would send him a few letters here and there hoping he would answer, but he never did. She could still remember how on top of the world she felt when Phoenix called her for the first time in eight years. Now, she finally got the chance to see him face to face in what seemed to be an eternity.

"I wished that was how it was, but we both had a lot of growing up to do." Phoenix looked at Maya again, "Some more then others."

Maya puffed her cheeks out, "Hey!"

Phoenix rolled his eyes, "Obviously you didn't grow up to much."

"I am very much mature," Maya said with crossed arms. "I am just not old and stuffy like you!"

Phoenix scoffed and the laughed a little bit. "God I missed you."

"I missed you too Nick," she said looking into Phoenix's eyes. Her feelings that she had tried to suppress and make go away started coming up again after all these years. She inwardly cursed herself for the crush that wouldn't go away. She looked away for a second as she blushed. Get a hold of yourself Maya! she thought to herself. She looked back up to see Phoenix slowly leaning in. "Um, what are you doing Nick?"

"Doing something I should have done long ago," he said as he immediately closed the gap between their lips. They sank into each other as kisses, not caring about the crowds around them. For them there were only two people in the town, and that was each other.

Maya thought that this might just be a cruel dream, that none of this might be happening and it was just a figure of her imagination. They finally broke from the kiss and she looked up and Phoenix and grabbed his face, "Is this a dream?"

Phoenix looked at her lovingly and smiled, "Maya, spirit mediums don't dream."

I hope you guys enjoyed this little one-shot. I think I ended stronger then I started, but oh well.
