She comes home from a long day at college, and wafting through the air is the smell of burning mince and overcooked spaghetti.
"Sophie, what are you doing?" Sian asks, feeling slightly shocked at the thought of Sophie cooking for her. She appreciates the effort, although Sophie's best attempts at cooking is beans on toast, though she burns the toast and undercooks the beans.
"I'm trying to have a nice, relaxing evening with my girlfriend, but my attempts at cooking Spaghetti Bolognese is-"
"Failing horribly, I can see and smell," Sian laughs.
"Well I'm sorry for going to an effort, thought you'd like a quite night in after a long day," Sophie snaps, her ego dented.
"Sophie, I do want an evening in with you, but I reckon takeaway would be a much safer choice, and you definitely wouldn't set the kitchen on fire again," Sian laughs, throwing her bag on the couch, taking Sophie's hand and pulling her to sit beside her on the Webster's sofa.
"Well I reckon you're right," Sophie laughs, poking Sian in the cheek.
"So.. kebabs sound good?"
"Perfect," Sophie replies, kissing Sian's cheek before hearing the smoke alarm screech, and running to the kitchen to save the kitchen from burning again.
