I know what I've done, I know I hurt them, I know I'll be happy. But as much as I hate to admit it, part of me died when I left. The part of me that is the helpless little blind girl that my parents cared for and treated like a porcelain doll, the old me.

I saved their lives, but at the cost of a crucial member; Appa. I could barely see, it took all I had to hold the library up but that's all I could do. I couldn't stop the sandbenders, I couldn't save Appa. We're lost, stranded in the desert. We didn't know whether or not we would survive. All because of me.

We're out of the desert and we have an idea to where Appa is; Ba Sing Se. It's a long journey across a deadly pass, or a peaceful ferry ride. But of course we had to take the pass. The journey was only the beginning of our adventures.

Finally we're in the city, not that I like it. There are many people, much to my dismay. I hate this place, I can tell when people lie or if they're keeping something hidden. This has to be the city of walls and secrets, the city of lies.

We're looking for him, we're looking for Appa. This guy named Jet came along and offered to help us in our search for the bison, Katara must be emotionally hurt by him to react in the way that she did. But not too long after we ran into him we went to an underground prison type thing located in Lake Laogai. Apparently Appa is being kept there. Everything happened so fast… Next thing I knew Jet was dying. He told us he'd be fine, I knew he was lying.

My parents wrote a letter saying they were in the city, saying that they cared for me and that they missed me. I was so naïve as to think that they were actually telling the truth. It was a trap, they didn't care… It was a trap set up by Xin Fu and Master Yu to kidnap me and bring me home. I was sitting in a metal cage, sitting, waiting. In a desperate attempt I invented metalbending to escape.

So here we are, back in Ba Sing Se but it's not the same. It doesn't feel right. Later we find out that Azula is in the city posing as a Kyoshi Warrior along with her to friends Mai and Ty Lee, and that they've kidnapped both Katara and Zuko. Later Sokka, Earth King Kuei and I are in jail, so of course I use my newly acquired skill to break us out. Here it is. The final battle. I've taken down the Di Li but I feel terrible. Do you know what it feels like to feel hundreds of heartbeats stopping and knowing it was your fault? No you don't… Aang was just shot down in the Avatar State by Azula, Zuko joined the bad guys and Iroh was arrested. We've lost. Team Avatar has been taken down, beaten and stepped on. Aang is gone… The worlds last hope is hanging onto life by a very thin thread.
