Aragorn thinks about Eowyn and realises she has found her happiness at last. Sorry about the title, but I really couldn't think of anything to call this! Please R&R!

HAPPINESS FOUND
"Indeed, your bravery was great Master Merry" said Aragorn after Merry had told him the tale of how he stabbed the Nazgul. They were in the Houses of Healing in Gondor, the battle finally over, Aragorn sitting by Merry's bed, listening to his stories about what he'd done since parting with Aragorn. He heard the door creak open behind him, and turned round to see Pippin walking in.
"Hello, come to see Merry again?" he asked, not really needing an answer. Pippin nodded. "I was just leaving as it happens. Have you seen Lady Eowyn at all, I'd like to talk with her"
"Yes, I saw her walking to the garden outside. She won't lay in bed, she says she's well enough to leave but Ioreth is having none of it. Says she can go into the garden, but that's it" the hobbit replied.
"Thank you Pippin, I'll leave you with Merry now" he said, walking out the room. He began to descend the stairs, but a glimmer of light from the window caught his eye. He stepped back and gazed out the window, viewing the garden below and the city spread out beyond it. He sight was drawn to a lone figure staring out to the West, blond hair fluttering slightly in a breeze. Eowyn.
Aragorn sighed. He never took pleasure in seeing people hurt, especially ones he liked dearly. But he knew that everyday he would be hurting Eowyn if her heart longed for Aragorn, as he could never return her love. He hoped she would find another as he noticed Faramir walk out and stand beside her, his gaze also looking to the West. They stood together without speaking until Faramir took her hand, and Aragorn noticed a faint smile upon Eowyn's lips.
Aragorn smiled. It seemed that she had found her happiness at last. Turning away from the window, he leaned against the wall of the hallway. Now all he had left to do was wait for his love to arrive on Midsummer's Eve.
