Love, Your Secret Admirer
Written by Chibikan
Summary: Cupid's been at it again. And now a certain dark-haired Death Eater is deeply, passionately in love with a certain Dark Lord. What is she going to do about it?
Prologue:
Oh how, oh how had she gotten into this mess? She just couldn't help herself, not one bit. When it had started, she had no idea. It was his own fault, she decided. The way his eyes lit up with passion when he used that power of his. The way his robes flowed out behind him, like a mighty river. How his skin tone resembled the color of sweet vanilla ice cream. How his hairless head glimmered in the moonlight. The way he smiled, even though she knew it was only when another was in pain, just seeing it was enough and she'd do anything to see it time and again. If it brought that smile to his lips, she'd kill, and she had, many times before, and would many times again. But…
"Oh, it's not fair." she sighed, looking at a framed wallet-sized picture that she kept close at her breast. "I love you so. But I cannot tell you. It's not right that you should never know." Long, pale digits traced the face of her secret love. "What ever can I do?" She thought, and thought. It seemed impossible. She could never tell him. He'd kill her, or worse, reject her openly, to be humiliated in front of all those others, and know once and for all that he could never return her feelings, that would hurt so much worse than mere death. Finally, she recalled a song that had been playing at the house of the last muggle she and her associates had delighted in torturing. There was a wonderful idea. She could send him little notes, signed from an anonymous admirer. Yes, it was juvenile, but at least he would know. He would never know they were from her and she'd find out if he was interested at the very least, and then she'd be able to go from there. "Eee, it's such a perfect plan!" she squealed pulled out a piece of parchment and using a spell to disguise her handwriting, she began that first love note.
AN: Yes, my first official romance fiction for Harry Potter. With a very unlikely pair. Of course, after book 7, I don't think it's that unlikely anymore. I think those were anvil-sized hints don't you?
